Hah, that cowboy look of protagonist came out by accident but I agree it looks cool! Thanks for your review :D

We’re planning to continue this project so stay tunned

Wow, thanks for long review! I appreciate it.

About the notes, later I noticed that whenever you enter full screen mode, the UI breaks because I designed it for 640x480 resolution and aspect ratio.

I want to make something more expanded and story rich with my group of friends so stay tunned :)

Thanks

Thanks for playing and feedback. I want to do something more about this game in future so stay tunned ;)

Literally lovecraftian version of Pou haha. Very cool concept, I like it! The visuals and audio are very charming.

Thanks for feedback :) Unfortunately I haven’t much time to implement more story-telling aspects. However I have plans for future to expand this concept a little bit.

May I attach your gameplay as trailer in game page?

There shoudn’t be possible to go inside lighthouse so I think I forget to disable interaction script for lighthouse doors.

About scary things - unfortunetly the project idea was too ambitious for me to realize entire concept it time of gamejam. So I just submited everything that I could did. Take it more like a demo of PSX style engine and I think in the future I’ll build something bigger on this so stay tunned :)

Wow, thanks for posting a gameplay video. I feel I don’t deserve it ^^”

Thanks ;)

Thank you for playing!

Thank you!

Wow! You made me supprise when the cutscen pop-out! Nice job with recording real life scene and breaking the 4th wall, it’s cool ^^

Cool game! Like the mechanic of balancing between turns to get gold but not get killed. Also artstyle and audio is neat.

Yeah, I got few problems when balancing the levels between too easy and boring and chellenging but rewarding, so I did health system that allows to take few hits. Also there is hidden mechanic that I haven’t enough time to explain in game - every 10 collected cards you got healed by 1 HP.

Thank you :)

Haha, if you say so, but I think the antropomorphic can works better as reference to energy drinks and also making a person-like art would be wayyyyy much more time consuming but I got the idea ;)

Thank you for playing and also your feedback!

Nice game, I like the gameplay but aiming feels a bit wierd. I would recomennd add a ray from player to mouse to show more clearly where the stone will be throwed ;)

Anyway as a first game it’s really cool, keep it up ^^

Unfortunetly I got some wierd bug, when I pressed [Space] I think the game scene reloaded because I saw a transition, but in wierd way, the gamera broke, and audio layers merged so the soundtrack and sounds started playing multiple times with small latency. Idk if on space bar was some dev debug tool or something but finnaly it broke my game when I spamed space bar xD

However beside this bug, I like the idea of monster under the bed and also realization is preatty neat! Like the sprites and overall artstyle and audio, keep it up ^^

Thanks! Nice to hear :)

I love the idea of raiding village by monsters and the mechanics that some villagers counter some types of monsters (for example vampire take extra dmg from garlic or guy with silver sword deals more dmg to warewolf). Thats cool!

Graphics and audio are chariming and climatic.

If I could give you some advice, I would add more clear information about why your choise is good against some villagers and reverse. Sometimes I picked zombie against garlic, and I got hit or miss understanded the game visuals. Also in level 3 if I remember correctly there was villager with gun, with power of 5 and the maximum power I saw on my cards was 4 on a Warewolf, also I could only chose 1 card, so I didn’t know what to do and I lost. However as a game jam game made in few days, good work, keep it up ^^

Thank you! I’m glad you like it :)

Nice game! I like the mechanic of gaining new abilities after killing enemies.

Nice game, I like the unique take of the theme! Graphics and audio are also cool and atmospheric ^^

Cool little game! I love the artstyle, especially the environment. And the mechanics of sleeping through seasons that unlocks new possibilities! It’s kinda sad to me that game ends so quicly, I would like to play it a little bit longer :< However over all I like the concept and the execution :)

There is only one thing that didn’t work correctly for me. I accidently softlocked myself when I destroyed the ice that was ment to kill the wolf so I needed to restart the game and break the branch more carefully.

I like the characters and audio. But I don’t know what is my goal and what to do beside just going around and slaing enemies. I guess some kind od tutorial or intro would be cool. Anyway nice game at all, keep it up ^^

Cool simple platformer, I love how it fits the theme. But I have one question: why maths…? WHY…

I like the graphics style and the climate of the game. However it tooks me a while to understand the gameplay mechanics, I think it would be better if the game would hint it more clearly.

cool gmae

Holy fu*k, that’s so fun game! Love the combination of 2D assets with 3D perspective.

That’s wierd. There is no need to interact with the vines first. When u picked up sword you just need to attack the vines by pressing [H] on your keyboard or (X) on xbox controller. I checked it just now and it works correctly.

Thank you! Glad to hear that you like it :)

Thank you, in the name of our music composer :) I’ll pass it on to him!

(1 edit)

Definitely too many sleepless nights xD but I think it was worth that effort :) We’re all proud of final effect and glad that you like it :)

Cool game! Smooth movement and good, intuitive level design. I really like the plot twist with 7th cat, which was really fun to manage to do some time limited parkour to escape it. Also love the graphics, and the simple story that fits metroidvania genre.

I had lot of fun playing your game. Keep it up.

Thank you for playing and your feedback ^^

I’m happy that you liked graphics :)

Unfortunetly I hadn’t much time to fully make this game a metroidvania as I planned on beginning (with more abilities and levels) and polish aspects like sounds or music (current soundtrack is old one I made few years ago for another game) so It’s not the strongest part of this game.

I didn’t add power up info because I was learning how to make UI in last hours of jam and hadn’t much time to do it on time, however in post jam patch I’ll add it and fix all bugs so stay tunned :)

I’m sorry you hadn’t been able to complete the game, even in desktop. I’ll patch every game breaking bugs in post jam update. At least I will try because idk what to do with stucking in ground which is caused by unity physics and why E doesn’t work correctly with the same input system as WSAD and Space. Anyway thanks for feedback and stay tuned for post jam patch.

Thank you for playing and your feedback. I didn’t had much time to polish every aspect of the game that’s why there is no sounds and I used music I’ve created long ago. However I’ll try to patch every game breaking bugs in post jam patch and probably I’ll remove completely mechanic with pressing E due I don’t really know why it’s not working in browser and for some people also in desktop. All inputs use the same system which is new unity inputs, so idk why WSAD and Space works correctly but E no :/

I tought that I fixed it but it seems that unity physics and long falling distances don’t like each other. Anyway I’ll fix it in postjam patch
