chicken game 2.0

I love the art! I suck at platformers so I raged though lol

I am getting the error that the game files required to initialize the global shader library are missing after I extracted the game.

I'm really impressed that you were able to put together a 3D game in such a short time, with terrain height variation and everything!

I was confused at first by the water gathering. I was looking at the meter on the side of the robot which fills up long before it is actually ready. Only after skimming comments, I realized it wasn't full and that was why I couldn't water the terrain.

In the future, it would be really cool if the surrounding terrain also changed beyond the small circle when you water. For example, the texture could slightly change to a slightly more luscious color. Was the plants and trees that popped up procedurally generated where they go? It felt like that was the case since at one point a flower popped up where the drain was, and that is a hefty thing to mess with in a game jam!

I could see this being such a vibe/chill game if you decided to continue development on it.

I like the idea! I only looked at this game off-stream since I can be shy about asking people to join me for stuff like this. I love how everything was hand drawn, but I would have loved an option to finish an argument early. While looking at the game, I was thinking that I doubt I could keep talking for the full timer lol

I loved how to-the-point this was! It was a basic idea but executed well. I think this was the perfect sort of thing for a jam as short as it was. After one run with the standard sensitivity, I turned it up to max and had a great laugh. It was very silly and difficult to control with the faster movement, and the arm separated a bit when I spun it in a circle lol. I enjoyed myself.

The concept for this game was wonderful! On my first run, I ended up soft locking due to running out of food making it so my people would not work and get more food because they didn't have any food. Once I understood that I needed to closely monitor the food resource, I was able to beat the game. I think this could be a great full game with a little polish! I found it confusing to understand exactly how the towns/villages/houses worked - was what they got based on the tile I placed it on, or on what was around the tile? Either way, I had a lot of fun with this!

Based on the description, it sounds like this game could have been really cool.

It sounds like the scope may have been a little large for such a short game jam, and the custom cursor only worked in fullscreen. Even though the game does not work, I think it is a great start an I am happy you were able to submit something.

I really enjoyed this game! I did find it hard to get a perfect score since I had to walk up to every object to figure out what I could interact with though. I really enjoyed the more retro vibe with the art and screen explaining your score after each level. I enjoyed the level design a lot with the various home layouts, even the last one was completely unrealistic hehe.

Also - when it finished it was confusing. Unless I accidentally pressed reset, the game just went back to the first level? Some sort of end screen instead of looping would have made more sense to me.

The art is really pretty in this game!! I really like how you put in the effort to do branching paths. I did two runs so I could see what the bird costume guy looked like (I guessed wrong on the first one) and I sadly got the same ending both times. I did notice a few typos that probably would have been caught by most online proofreading programs, but that isn't important. The idea was really cute, and you did a great job at changing the tone in your writing between the different characters. I was voicing them on stream and it was obvious when I started to read a line in the wrong voice.

This game was really difficult, but I really liked it! It definitely took me longer than it should have, but I was greatly impressed by the amount of polish this had. I'm really bad at platformers and I had to take a second and breathe to get over the rage a few times, but finishing it felt really satisfying! I felt like the movement was solid, and I like how you made us use the wall bouncing with the level design. I also liked how it was rare to fall all the way down.

Stirring can be a little finicky, but just keep clicking down when you see the green bar and holding until it goes away until the item turns transparent, which means that you were successful.
