Very stylish and concise look. Plays quite smoothly and fast. Is collection all the souls even possible?

As Henrique already said in the comment below, the skulls following you just within their territory feels really polished.

Nice job!

(Just looked at the git repo - you might want to remove that crashdump file "mono_crash.mem.41684.1.blob" from it... ;) )

Developer

It should be possible,  it's quite difficult but using your spare lives should be sufficient. I'll take a look at my . gitignore file. Shouldn't be commited, thx for the headsup

The pixel art is amazing and the enemy design is very cool. I like the aspect of "I will follow you just a bit" from the skulls. It creates urgency to be far from the enemies but it doesn't become a eternal pursuit until the end of the game. Great work!

that's a very good example how to create engaging gameplay moments with super basic AI.
I loved how the skulls were like "not worth the trouble" and returned to their resting place.
also: very nice color palette!

Really good game! The Skulls were a very good addition. They both kept me on edge and provided some good challenge. I also liked the music choice, good job!

The aesthetic of the game looks nice & the sounds really fit the actions and pop.

With the movement it feels really nice to play.

Cool for putting an extra objective in to trigger the completionist.

Really great job at creating a game and submitting!

Look the look of this game :). And great concept playing as Deaths Dog :D
found the skulls a little fast and tricky to avoid at first, but started getting the hang of it :).
Well Done!

Really cute and the controls felt great.

Love the pacing of the game, very well done.

Great art, sound, and responsive controls! Not sure how to get some of those souls without losing every live in the process but I guess that's the point haha, nice work.

Really fun game. I like challenging games and I'm quite the completionist, so this one was my type of game. I tried collecting all the souls but it was bloody difficult xD But I kept trying. I still haven't quite got all of them but I will at some point.  Love the game. The limited color palette is good, but I will say it does hurt the eyes after some time, especially for a guy like me with shitty vision. Still, it's a well-made platformer :)

Really nice game, I love the aesthetics! It would be nice if there was some way to dodge the floating enemies, like a little dash or something. Anyways, good job, congratulations! :)

Nice little game, short and simple. A suggestion is to have more colous, everything is too much blue, and foreground, characters and background blending visually.

Good work and good luck!

Awesome game, great visuals and music. The movement are snappy and the jumping feels great. One feedback that I would give is that make the player jump slightly higher so that it is easier to jump (over two tiles), sometimes the player gets stuck on the edge of the tile. And I was getting a bug where the player sometimes lose two hearts instead of one when touching the enemy. Overall, Well done!

visuals are great!! Nice job

Though the visuals look nice, in the beginning I had some trouble discerning platforms and background. Also some jellies would go way farther than others, a bit inconsistent in this regard.

Either way the game did feel nice to play. Well done!

A very good looking game you have there, I especially enjoyed the satisfying soul collection noise. Nice work! Keep it up!

Awesome visual work you did! I dig the whole atmosphere! I would maybe add a little bit of cojote time to the jumps as it would add to make the game feel smoother! On some pallets like when you fall down the passage it felt that I could not grab both sites on the first go and had to die to get the other ones? But maybe I am just bad! :D I thought I collected all of them but the counter still said that I had quite a few missing are there hidden ones?

Really solidly done! I love the lighting and the art. It all worked so well together! the animations were amazing too. But this game reminded me why I hate cats >:(

I think you've done a banger of a job on the colours . Something I have yet to achieve properly. The game even tho very simple, is well done and not frustrating at all.

Things nice to have

  • better jumping animation on the fox
  • more matching sound effects on death and pickups
