Thank you for the feedback! Could you please provide more details on the anti-aliasing issue? Was it a standalone or browser version?

Wow! It's amazing how much content there actually is, feels like a real game they could've shipped along with Stray. Love the art direction and music working together really well. Managed to beat the game with 9 secrets gathered. Took me a while to find the attack ability, I though my controls were broken :)

Really nice entry, feels like a demo of a released game. Managed to beat the boss and it was fairly challenging. Everything works fine together, from art to controls, to music. Great job!

Hi! I am willing to participate in the jam. That would be my 6 or 7th jam. I am a solo hobby developer, nothing fancy, so music and sfx is always a problem to get properly. I am not sure what game I would like to make, but most likely something retro-inspired.

If for some reason you would still like to collaborate, let me know in the discord -  TriBar#7791 Thanks!

Hi! Are you still looking for a team? Would be great to collaborate, please find me in Discord if you are interested - TriBar#7791

I see, that's a shame, what is your system, I could upload some additional builds I think.

It seems to be a common issue with godot 4, the web build works in Chrome, and it takes some time to load

Love the game, nice and simple, works well also

Thank you for the feedback!
Yes, indeed the part with hedgehogs is challenging, and there is a bug with collisions also that you could insta-die sometimes riding a hedgehog. I didn't have time to fix it yet. I also thought of oldschool way of compensating for lack of content - with brutal difficulty ;)

Thank you for the feedback!
Yes, I've found some nice free tracks, but I was worried about non-commercial use and if it would cause troubles for streamers so I decided not to include those at all.

Nice idea! The art direction is a bit all over the place, but overall it looks like an evolution on classic dungeon crawlers, which is nice. Good job!

Nice title! I like the looks and the music. The shifting plaforms works well. The controls a bit floaty to my taste but good overall.

Nice title! I liked the puzzles, some nice ideas and well implemented in such short period.

First of all - great job! The title really looks solid. The artstyle is lovely, I like the low-fi pixel art, yet it keeps a lot of details. I like how the cursor moves and the room tilts a bit and also the guy follows the cursor with the head, great details! The sounds and music are solid, the animations look good.
The lacking part for me was the design and overall direction.
I didn't know what to do first other that playing the TV, then I read the instructions and even with those I didn't figure out all the things happening. I got 3 events happening, triggering something else once but didn't manage to find what did it again. It's a shame because from the screenshots it seems there are some cool stuff but I couldn't get to it.
It's your call but you could make the game more accessible, I am not a fan of a tutorials but some slight hints might help. The objects might move a bit as you get to the right one, the sound might change pitch to indicate hotter/colder, otherwise it feels like I have no idea on collision areas, what to look for or if something should happen at all, and also the timing for triggering the event seems to be very specific.

Would appreciate the feedback - https://tribar.itch.io/kolobok

Thank you!

Hi! Very nice of you to do that! Could you give my game a go next time? Thank you! https://tribar.itch.io/kolobok

Nice title! I really enjoyed playing it. The idea is solid and fits the theme well.
I really like the music, very groovy.
I think it's really challenging to think of a well designed puzzles in such a short time, so good job.
I guess the background could be a little toned down not to distract from the main obstacles.

Also I think it's better to avoid using Shift key as rapid pressing causes sticky keys note in Windows I guess.

Overall great job!

Thank you for the feedback!
Those are nice valid points.
Indeed the boiling line would make some nice effect, I made a player sprite separate with legs and torso and gun to be more functional but made the enemy as a whole drawing and I like the enemy much more.

Thank you for the feedback!
I hope to revisit the idea on a more complete title to fix some issues.

Thanks you for the feedback!
Yes, contra is straight inspiration :)

Right, the end game event wasn't implemented, so it's softlocked :(

Thank you! Yes, indeed Newgrounds games had a lot of soul in them. I personally adore their console title - Alien Homid

Thank you for the feedback! I would like to experiment with more frames in the future, making it more fluid.

Thank you! Nice to read that

Thank you for playing! :)

Thank you for playing!

Thanks for the feedback! Yes, the old school titles are great inspiration

Thanks for the feedback! Right, I didn't implement the finish game state, but wanted to submit a stable version.

Thank you for the feedback! Sure, making the background in pencil is a good idea, would consider for a bigger release :)

Thank you for playing the game and giving feedback! Yes, the game is softlocked as I was in a rush to finish it before the trip, so I left the stable version in that state :(

Not much of a game, more like a 1 minute shot, but would be nice to hear some feedback. Please have look - https://itch.io/jam/go-godot-jam-4/rate/2065902

Thank you!

Thank you for the feedback! I really am glad you liked the authentic, appreciated.
The background was a quality texture I've found on free sources, the doodles however are real doodles I'did on paper and photoedited them into sprites. I am yet to figure out the efficient way to streamline the graphics process as I really wish them to be fluid.
Thanks for the advice, the setting was already the way you noted, but I've played around with settings and also screen size on itch and maybe it good better... I can't test properly, as I only have retina mac to test and it seems to be finicky about screen pixels and stuff.

Great game and my personal favorite as I am a sucker for bow mechanics. Seriously, if there is a bow in the game I would use it and it only as I find that tension-shoot really satisficing. The shoot-warp mechanic is great and certainly my jam. I only wish the gravity would be a bit floaty and the velocity would reset on warp, that would give room to some sick plays and speedrun approaches. Also nice work on those shaders!

Now that would be the stuff to launch at the acid party and everyone would have the most existential trip ever. I love the music, very Animal Collective. The shader work is remarkable

Wow, it's hilarious! It reminds me of old school early 90s point and click games where you have no idea what is happening or what is intentional but it is very entertaining. You really seem to break the meta here and it's lovely in every way.

Lovely game! I like every part of it. The music is very nice, the art style is bright and colorful. There are a lot of nice touches like splash animation and music changes the pitch while underwater. I like the skill based jump in the end and checkpoints were smartly put. Very nice well rounded experience.

Nice bullet hell title! Nice use of assets with art and music. I see that some assets are using filters and some are sharp which looks not very consistent. I'd like to have more feedback when the player is hit as it is easy to lose track of the projectiles. Think that autofire could be included as there is no ammo, so no point in not shooting.
It seems I can use the EMP on game over restart if I unlocked it, even before reaching the lvl to unlock it.
Trying hard to beat the boss now!

Nice and cozy! I Like how the music works with the style. Also the amount of content is impressive.

Thank you for your dedication!
The difficulty is very unbalanced here, I didn't have enough time to iron out the spikes, but it seems beatable, and there is also the 'soft' game over if you want to proceed anyway :)

Hi Jade!
Would be cool if you play my game - https://tribar.itch.io/starpack-swarm-survivor
I won't be able to attend due to the timezone unfortunately. Have a great stream!
