Beautiful art! What a cute doggo

Clever idea with good level design!

Super cool idea! Great art, audio and polish, the game looks and sounds amazing!

My one criticism is that the player movement is not responsive enough. I think for a bullet hell you need fast deceleration when you let go of a key; the player feels a bit too slippery for my taste.

Great job overall!

The gameplay itself does not feel very new- it has a very nostalgic feel with a slight twist, but not significant enough to add much depth to the mechanics.

However, I have to give this game top marks just for the presentation. The art is beautifully crafted, and I love the combination of high-res surroundings with the low-res game. The music is also very old-school and fits the mood perfectly. Overall, the game is extremely beautiful!

Great work!

Interesting idea, good execution!

Simple, silly game. Well done!

Reminds me of FTL :)

Without a doubt one of the most polished and visually pleasing games I've played so far!

However I think there was some room for improvement on the character controls. These are definitely subjective points, so take them as you will: I think the character's in-air drift should stop as soon as you let go of the key--it currently feels bad that you have to hold in a direction, then tap the other direction to stop flying forward. Also, a bit faster deceleration when you let go of the key on the ground would be nice.

Overall, beautiful game with a great concept. Good job!

This was more fun than I expected! Very clever mechanics that made for some interesting tradeoff decisions! I would definitely play this as a tabletop card game

Wow I enjoyed this a lot more than I expected to! Really clever puzzle mechanic, great job!

It took me longer than I would like to admit to figure out that you can use the empty ones to hold the key though :')

Very cool idea! I like how the fact that you can only save one item to your clipboard at a time made for interesting decisions on when to override your currently copied item or not!

This was really cool, 5 stars across the board for me! An interesting concept with the potential to be frustrating, but the execution was done in a way where changing the controls up feels very intuitive! The game feels really satisfying when you starting getting in the groove of things and making quick connections between your controls. Definitely helped by the awesome visual style and nice sound effects!

Awesome, thanks for taking the time to explain!

Great art and polish on the game! Really like the style and small visual effects on things like the lava bubbles.

Personally I don't have the patience for platformers and I think my impatience amplified by the timer mechanic, though this is through no fault of the game itself.

Great execution, if there was some basic audio for the jump and BGM I think this would be a perfectly polished game :)

(1 edit)

Nice work! This was a lot of fun to play, and a very polished experience overall!

Do you mind sharing how you implemented the minimap? That was a great touch that I also wanted to add to my team's game :)

Nicely done! Very cute art style :)

Charming little game, really enjoyed the art and audio (despite it being premade assets).

I love the idea of scrolling as a game mechanic! I personally think it has more potential as a puzzle mechanic than a skill-based platforming mechanic, but that's my personal bias against platformers speaking.

Really well executed, well done!

What a charming little game! I really enjoy the menu and end screen too, very nice touches. Would definitely like to see the mechanic played with a bit more in a future expansions, as the demo was a bit on the simple side.

Overall, great work!

Really cool concept! Love the simple but effective visuals, paired with great particle effects! Very well polished.

Great work!

I love the idea behind this game! It's really satisfying when you start memorizing the spells and can rapid fire cast them :) Beautiful audio and visuals as well!

If I can offer one criticism, it's that it never feels good when the controls aren't synced with camera. In other words, I think this game would have benefited from free flowing movement rather than four-directional constrained movement.

Overall, I really enjoyed the concept! Great job!

Very nice art style, and the controls feel good and responsive!

The game did feel a lot easier when the stage was vertical though; I think there's potential for more orientation-dependent mechanics to expand on in the future :)

Nicely done!

Interesting idea, but there is a definite lack of clarity of what is happening in the game, mainly due to a lack of visual and audio polish. It needs to be made more clear what is happening to the player when it happens, which is difficult without visual effects or sound.

Honestly a super creative and original idea! Nicely polished, I really enjoyed the lighting effects.

I never realized how much I hated somebody taking my cursor from me until playing this game...

I love the concept, though it was a bit frustrating to be swiping my mouse across my desk to fight against the pull of the monsters. I would love to see what other ideas you can come up with for this game! There's a lot of potential on the types of enemies  you could imagine up(I hope I didn't miss them by quitting too early)

Interesting concept, fellow herding simulator creator! Check out our team's game for a different take on herding livestock :)

Very funny premise :)

Nice job! Definitely a good starting point to grow your skills :)

Interesting idea! Definitely simulates how difficult it is to control in orbit spacecraft from Earth.

Very cute art! I think a bit more time could have been spent explaining the game mechanics with a mini-tutorial. Good job!

Thanks for playing! Your point is totally fair. We went hard into the theme of this jam, potentially to the detriment of more memorable gameplay mechanics

Thanks for playing! Surprisingly our dev team got further with small sheep than the big sheep ;) The big sheep have bigger collision boxes making it hard for you to bark at all of them simultaneously

Glad you enjoyed :)

Lovely art style!

Good start to your game jam path, definitely some polish to improve on but well done!

Wow, the visuals are crazy. I think you've perfectly captured the 5am GameJam experience.

Was definitely a bit confused as to what I was supposed to be doing unfortunately. Nonetheless, beautiful game and I hope that you can build more story and objectives into this awesome visual style!

Really enjoyed the art style! It's a shame I didn't get to play the rest of your game due to the bug.

Also, is the player feeding herself to the wolf??? How dark :')

Good job regardless of the bug! Nicely polished game

Nice game, but I think there was a similar concept that made Mark's 2019 winner list. Regardless, good execution!

Love the silly art style! Definitely was a lot easier when I realized I can just trap the wolf hahaha. Well done!

Absolutely my favorite game so far! It was extremely frustrating at first, until I understood that the jump was timed to the music's bpm. As soon as I started bobbing my head to the music, my skill increased tenfold.

Beautiful art, amazing audio of course, and overall just a very well polished experience. I appreciate the smart placement of checkpoints especially in the nonlinear levels, makes it a lot less frustrating.

Amazing job! Hope to see more of this game :)

Great work on the art! Really like the retrowave style :)

Enjoyed the art and sound direction! Was definitely feeling extremely out of control :')
