Preface
The rating is based on my personal preferences alone. Generally, I'm pretty open to new experiences, but I prefer games where lots of things happen. I tend to be a harsh critic.
I have finished the game.
Gameplay/Fun
There is nothing to complain about. Fun all the way through.
Art Style/Visuals
There is nothing to complain about. The pixel art looks good!
Audio/Sound
While it's all taken from somewhere else, the music, sound design and voice acting are great! Even if it's an AI's voice.
"I haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat you!"
Innovation
There is no game. Or is there?
It's There is No Game all over again.
Theme
You're freeing the animal from isolation, but there's also you and the narrator, so it only kind of fits.
Verdict: Either way, awesome game!

Preface
The rating is based on my personal preferences alone. Generally, I'm pretty open to new experiences, but I prefer games where lots of things happen. I tend to be a harsh critic.
This game is infinite. It can't be finished.
Gameplay/Fun
The gameplay is shallow. The ships' colliders are unfair. The balls could've used less inertia. Speaking of, why are the player characters balls? Why not other spaceships?
Art Style/Visuals
They're fine, but the powerups and text clash with everything else. The ship designs are cool, though.
Audio/Sound
It's just one song, and it's a genre that I don't like.
Innovation
It's an interesting spin on the "avoid everything" archetype of games.
Theme
There's little adherence to the theme with the two characters being isolated from each other.
Verdict: It's mid.

Preface
The rating is based on my personal preferences alone. Generally, I'm pretty open to new experiences, but I prefer games where lots of things happen. I tend to be a harsh critic.
I haven't finished the game. (I got 4 out of the 8 endings)
Gameplay/Fun
It's short and kind of shallow. The personality test in the beginning is pointless - why not add a way to skip it? The only way you get different endings is by clicking the different answers after that. You don't even have to read them. But I appreciate how you don't even have to go through all of this by just leaving.
Why not add different items to interact with?
The transitions take too long.
Art Style/Visuals
Pretty minimal, but they do their job.
Audio/Sound
The one song that plays through the game doesn't really fit. The therapist's voice is really annoying.
Innovation
I actually made a game like that for the jam before! It also had 8 endings!
With that said, interactive fiction isn't a novelty.
Theme
You isolate yourself from society by staying in the cage. It fits the theme.
Verdict: Good game, but it could use more content.

The rating is based on my personal preferences alone. Generally, I'm pretty open to new experiences, but I prefer games where lots of things happen. I tend to be a harsh critic.
I have finished the game.
Gameplay/Fun
Chopping down trees is fun, I like the axe swing mechanic, but why can't I chop down my own house? There is little incentive to continue. Also, "there is nothing left"!? I only chopped down 6 trees!
Art Style/Visuals
They're great. The colors look good, the models look good, the art style is consistent. The only thing I can complain about is that the land doesn't expand further, and it just looks... eh.
Audio/Sound
There is nothing to complain about. The spatial sound design really makes you feel like you're in the woods.
Innovation
The concept is quite original. I never played a first-person lumberjack simulator before.
Theme
You're alone in the woods, isolated from society. The audio compliments that well.
Verdict: Great game.

I have finished the game.
Gameplay/Fun
It's short and shallow. All you do is run around and avoid everything. Movement doesn't feel fun and the dash just teleports you. Also, are you really going to spoil the solution to the game in the descriptions?
Art Style/Visuals
The art direction here is questionable. Why is The Beast pixel when everything else is hand-drawn? Speaking of hand-drawn, I appreciate the hand-drawn assets, even if they look somewhat weird. Also, the sprites' colors clash with the background.
Audio/Sound Design
Unfitting. Neither of the songs fit the game.
Innovation
No innovation to be seen.
Theme
The game only loosely fits the theme.
Verdict: Eh, I don't like it.

The rating is based on my personal preferences alone. Generally, I'm pretty open to new experiences, but I prefer games where lots of things happen. I tend to be a harsh critic.
I have finished the game.
Gameplay/Fun
Short and buggy. From what I heard, you can just skip the whole game.
Art Style/Visuals
Personally, I'm a fan of abstract aesthetics, but I feel it could've been executed better. A change of palette would definitely benefit the art design.
Audio/Sound Design
It's just two songs, they're fine.
Innovation
The game is somewhat original. It reminds me of a certain board game about parking lots.
Theme
Can't really see how it sticks to the theme, but you're alone, so that fits, I guess.
Verdict: Good idea, but it could use polish. And more content.

I have finished the game.
Gameplay/Fun
It keeps you on your toes (GET IT?) and is pretty fun, but sometimes it can get annoying.
Art Style/Visuals
There is nothing to complain about. Hell, I'm a fan of abstract aesthetics and this game hit it out of the park.
Audio/Sound Design
There is nothing to complain about. The whole game relies on sound and the soundscape is well achieved.
Innovation
So far the most innovative out of all games in the jam.
Theme
You're certainly not alone, but I have to give bonus points for a creative interpretation of the theme.
Verdict: Awesome game!

I have finished the game.
Gameplay/Fun
There is nothing to complain about. The gameplay is hectic and fun and the different gun options allow different playstyles. I personally like the auto gun.
Art Style/Visuals
They're awesome. They remind me of a game from the early 2000s. The only thing I could complain about is the weird lighting.
Audio/Sound
There is nothing to complain about. The spatial sound design really makes you feel like you're in the battlefield.
Innovation
The concept is quite original. It's like the Halo warthog had a game of its own!
Theme
The main character is a tank commander cut off from his forces. It fits well.
Verdict: Awesome game!

Preface
The rating is based on my personal preferences alone. Generally, I'm pretty open to new experiences, but I prefer games where lots of things happen. I tend to be a harsh critic.
The game is infinite. Therefore, it can't be finished.
Gameplay/Fun
The blood stone gives you tasks and you do them. Pretty fun, but there's little incentive to continue.
Art Style/Visuals
They're fine, but the UI clashes with the game.
Audio/Sound Design
"Oh, now there is no sound, for we all live underground" - Jamiroquai, "Virtual Insanity"
There's no sound at all.
Innovation
The concept and abilities are actually quite original.
Theme
You have to isolate yourself and the stone from people and watchtowers. It fits.
Verdict: Great game, but it could use polish.

I have finished the game.
Gameplay/Fun
The gameplay is fine, but it's slippery.
If it's a rage game , you shouldn't force the player to restart the game after they die - restart automatically.
Art Style/Visuals
There's nothing to complain about. The graphics are well-drawn and mesh well with each other.
Audio/Sound Design
I mean, it's good, but it's just one song.
Innovation
The Super Meat Boy inspiration here seems obvious.
Theme
The game only loosely fits the theme.
Verdict: Good game.

Preface
The rating is based on my personal preferences alone. Generally, I'm pretty open to new experiences, but I prefer games where lots of things happen. I tend to be a harsh critic.
I have finished the game.
Gameplay/Fun
Somewhat overwhelming at the beginning. I don't like to be forced to read tutorials.
After you get a grip of it, it's enjoyable, but the text disappears too fast.
Art Style/Visuals
Everything clashes with everything. Aim for a consistent art style.
Audio/Sound Design
The soundtrack doesn't really fit the scenarios presented in game. Otherwise, it's mid.
Innovation
An RPG focused on social management is an interesting idea.
Theme
You isolate yourself from society when you lose. You're forced to make decisions alone. Yeah, it fits.
Verdict: Good idea, but it could use polish.

Preface
The rating is based on my personal preferences alone. Generally, I'm pretty open to new experiences, but I prefer games where lots of things happen. I tend to be a harsh critic.
I have not finished the game yet (I'm stuck at the dash stage)
Gameplay/Fun
Pretty enjoyable (you can go real fast), but slippery. Also, you can fall out of the level at times - let the player die organically (e.g. put some spikes underneath the level).
Art Style/Visuals
It's obvious that you put a lot of effort into the art, and I appreciate that, but it clashes in places and loose ends can be seen, like in the corpse scene.
Audio/Sound Design
I mean, the song is good, but its tone hardly fits the setting. Also, it's just one song.
Innovation
No innovation to be seen.
Theme
You're completely alone, so the game is accurate to the theme.
Verdict: Good game.

Preface
The rating is based on my personal preferences alone. Generally, I'm pretty open to new experiences, but I prefer games where lots of things happen.
Gameplay/Fun
All you really do is walk. You can jump, but it's a shame you can't float.
Art Style/Visuals
Can't say the colors mesh together well (that's especially important in a minimalist setting), but I like the sparkles and the characters.
Audio/Sound Design
I mean, it's good, but it's just one song.
Innovation
Walking simulators are an interesting way to convey poetry in a game setting.
Theme
You're completely alone, so the game is accurate to the theme. The graphics and music compliment that nicely.
Verdict: Good game.
RATING IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE.
Gameplay/Fun
There's nothing to complain about. I enjoyed the experience. The puzzles were clever at places.
Art Style/Visuals
There's nothing to complain about. The shadows and lighting are great in this one.
Audio/Sound Design
I think a different song could've fit the mood better. No sound effects to judge.
Innovation
Controlling other entities in a platformer context isn't something commonly seen.
Theme
You're isolated from everything around you, so the game is accurate to the theme.
Verdict: Great game.
