I decided to manage a game for the Social Isolation, principally for some kind of persons like the introverted ones.

I found the time gap between decisions to be quite literally about 10x the length they could or should have been, especially cause basically you make one and a half choices each day (what item to take, what to do at the end of the day). I don’t think the RNG of the routes, picking the coin flip, or picking a card count as meaningful choices. Just different random chances. Out of curiosity I timed it - 13 seconds or so from choosing your item for the day to getting to choose a route, 40 seconds between choosing a route on the way to work until you get to the store. 25 seconds from leaving the store until getting to choose a nighttime activity. 15 seconds from that to the choice the next morning. So a minute and a half per day, at best 30 seconds per meaningful piece of input from the player if you count the store.

When there were choices to make, it seemed like you either choose whatever lowers stress the most or lose (and you can do that and still lose). Ultimately it felt like the game sends the message that self isolation is just a matter of random chance and luck, which feels like the opposite of the message you want to send to people who are at risk for that.

I liked the art all around though agree it ended up a little mismatched. Was the title screen ai generated? no shade either way, just noticed some interesting fingers, and the like red dudes in the background were confusing. Would’ve been cool to have more in that style. Music was decent too.

Not a bad idea to explore for the theme of the jam, but the meaningful decision to luck ratio needed to be way harder in the other direction I think.

Hello, well to be honest the game was created in 3 days, the work and others things leave me without time, the idea of the minigames was another like minigames of warrio series were your uncertain stats give you better chances to get the good choice.

Another thing leave it aside, the micro games, every card of the morning open ocasionally a micro game were can give you extra stats, for example the spinner appears and you can click it faster until get high speed and reduce more anxiety.

Yeah the time is fast, should adjust that better, a little longer so the people can read well the card for example.

Yes the cover is AI Generated, like many of the cards, the time dont leave me choice and to avoid the copyrigths. Also the cards are 10 of each one, not many and try my best to balance the good and bad. The game required a better organization and changes to be honest, but like an alpha i feel very good with it x3

To be honest the idea wasnt mine, was from my boyfriend, he is introverted and when he told me about that idea i love it, he doesnt help me cause he dont like to be questioned constantly and feel anxiety for answer, even when we want to decide something we use a coin XD

Also thanks for that recomendations, i will take all in mind if i continue this gamein a future.

Oh that’s neat about the spinner micro game and the like! I actually was suggesting to make time much faster, maybe advance only on clicking so people can take their time to read also?

I used to do coinflips for help making choices too, at least to see how I really feel about them while the coin’s in the air. Chwazi Finger Chooser app (on ios and android!) is a really great one if you have more than one possibility you’re trying to choose between :)

I think you definitely have the foundations here for something great!

A different kind of sim game :-)

GAMEPLAY
The game was relaxing to play. I do not know if that was the intention with the anxiety stats etc. :-)?
I was a bit unsure of the impact of my choices as I only observed the stats changing. And some messages did go away a bit quick. I struggled with the mini-games, I did not win very often or got the positieve stats. Maybe a bit too random?

ART STYLE / VISUALS
The art style was a mix. Separate I think it was nice. Together maybe a bit less.

AUDIO / SOUND DESIGN
The music was very relaxing and significantly contributed to the calming atmosphere of the game. As always nice music!

INNOVATION
The game was not particularly innovative but offered a unique kind of sim concept.

THEME
Slightly touched upon. Check.

Nice entry once again. Out of the box attempt. Bit rough maybe but still enjoyed trying it out and see were it went đź’Ş

Developer

Thank you Goed, i always love your comments, yeah is not my best graphic game and not the funniest but i complete it in 3 days x3

And the love the idea, cause looks like a indie game XD x3

I will stay tunned for the results and the jury decision x3 ♥

Interesting and orginal concept, although the art for me wasn´t very good the game was fun to play! Good job!

Developer(+1)

Thank you, yeah, the art is not the strongest part, but for the time i must focus in complete the game x3

Thanks for playing and comment x3

I think the art was a bit inconsistent but the game itself was pretty interesting and fun to play.

Made it to Day 6. Was an interesting sim! Me and the character lead a similar life. ;)

Cool idea but rough around the edges. Didn't have enough time to read what the event was in the street sections, and I wish I could see what items I picked, so far I only see the item picked at the start of the day, and there's no way to read what it did afterwards. Also wish I could see what kind of rng minigame the event would have, as picking the right box one is much more difficult than the coin flip, which I wish I could pick yes or no after winning instead of yes automatically if you guess right on the coin flip. Overall I like the idea of stat management with random events and choices you have to make, but the game is not very clear about a lot of its mechanics.

Fun concept but I personally am not too big of a fan of everything being this random with most RNG checks only giving you the illusion of choice because having a bad luck streak leads to the game just feeling a bit unfair. Apart from that I gotta say that even with the added guide I often didn't understand what each of the stats like anxiety for example actually did. That all being said I really do like the general idea of the game, I'm a huge fan of management like that in games and I thought the idea with the cards was really cool, too.

The premise is nice, social isolation is a neat idea.

Preface
The rating is based on my personal preferences alone. Generally, I'm pretty open to new experiences, but I prefer games where lots of things happen. I tend to be a harsh critic.
I have finished the game.
Gameplay/Fun

Somewhat overwhelming at the beginning. I don't like to be forced to read tutorials.
After you get a grip of it, it's enjoyable, but the text disappears too fast.

Art Style/Visuals

Everything clashes with everything. Aim for a consistent art style.

Audio/Sound Design

The soundtrack doesn't really fit the scenarios presented in game. Otherwise, it's mid.

Innovation

An RPG focused on social management is an interesting idea.

Theme

You isolate yourself from society when you lose. You're forced to make decisions alone. Yeah, it fits.

Verdict: Good idea, but it could use polish.

RATING IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE.

Developer

Yeah im complete it agree, the game required to be more polish, but is a good alpha to show the idea, mechanics and others x3

Thanks for playing and for the commend, i will take all in mind to continue the game in a future x3 ♥

Good relaxing game, but lacked the fun. Also I didn't truly understood the game's mechanisms. I encountered too much unfamiliar stats at the beginning! It was overwhelming and confusing. Even the game page's tutorial was not convincing to read! The art was good tho. Good job :)

I didn't like the mixture or bitmap, vector, and 3d art styles. Even with your description, the game didn't exactly convey the theme of "isolation", but rather "personal management. Your game has potential, but it doesn't cooperate with this jam. Nice Attempt tho!

Developer

well maybe is not the best, but i try to choose something more out of the box with the theme, maybe was to far XD

And thanks for play it, and i must say that i focus more in the mechanics and the music, i try my best with the carts than the other artworks to be honest XD
