This is amazing! Doesn't look like much on the screenshot but the gameplay is great. Once it clicks it just clicks. If you could somehow allow the player to pause between the waves to re-arrange the cubes inside the weapon it would bring it to the next level. Very enjoyable in it's current state either way! Good job dude. :D
Superbly executed! Fits the jam really well and is super fun to play, art is crisp too! One thing I would maybe add is numbers under the available spaces for enemies just so you always see which number corresponds to which field. Right now when the board is somewhat empty, I found myself counting through invisible spaces to make sure I shoot the right monster. Just a tiny little polish thing I suppose.
Also screw the ranged tumor boys, holy crap! :D
Interesting idea. It's a bit disorienting to read what is happening on the side and reacting at the same time. I guess you would want to focus the entire game on one screen and somehow display what the dice did somehow. Maybe after the jam you could shift from a text based approach to something more visual based to represent the events.
Thanks so much for checking it out! Currently, all the obstacles are randomly generated, sometimes you can get long streaks where you can keep high rolls, sometimes not. I suppose it fits the random jam theme in this way. As far as map selection goes, it was only a last second implementation to give some visual variety, will definitely make some kind of level selection screen later on!
The art is cute and the music is banging! I think the reload mechanic could use some more depth if you want to expand on it. In it's current state your only option is to click reload over and over again until you get it. Maybe have different stages of reload based on your dice numbers, like getting ammo based on the combined roll count or getting more damaging shots if you roll same faces on both dice. Just an idea. :D
Hmm, maybe make the player touch as many chips on the table for them to count toward the score. Maybe have the chips the player touches light up so you can see them.
Another could be something like the game Katamari, where you pick chips up with your dice by rolling into them and then dropping them inside the marked zones for points.
Just some ideas that popped into my head. :D
