Why is it taking so long for the update to be released?

The last update was released 113 days ago.

To keep it straightforward, it's only a given couple devs working on the game, and the main dev only works on it when they feel like it.

I too question that each day I visit the store page. The hype the dev received from multiple YouTubers is long gone now, and it just felt so weird reading that he decided to go on a vacation right at the very month his title started really booming. Oh well.

I figured there would be either more people working on it or at least higher motivation when you get $9k per month from patreon.

Depending on where he lives, he can pretty much sustain an actual company. Not of the gaming industry veterans, of course, but still, for CIS countries, that's a very solid monthly budget to have.

Maybe it's like, a really huge update, like 0.8.0 or something... I dunno

0.8.0 may be huge or smth, but before it there's should be 0.7.1

(+5)

dev wanted there to be 0.7.1, added too much stuff, now its 0.8.0

(+1)

Well it's exactly what happened now lol

>THE

threat  And many many other fixes and changes between the hotfixe

Note:  do NOT ask me for the next update like it was with 07 version, this is  a BIG game made by TWO devs (one logic\gameplay and one grafiks) You can get the game for free so be patient and wait for the next update, it will come out when it comes out, it has no set dates or deadlines. Taking a fat break from that lol, gonna monitor the feedback and do occasional bug fixes instead of new content for now.

Im fine with the update taking long as long its not canceled and actually good. Ive had a blast with the game so far and it would be a shame for it to be ruined with a sloppy rushed update

(+3)

patience is a virtue.

update tomorrow

real

Hello, I am a, yes. but uh you know when you are commenting that you are making some people who are genuinely curious to go to the discord server and ask right? I know you are doing it for a joke but misinformation just causes issues and I want you to be aware of the issue you are causing.

(+3)

update tomorrow is a meme from the discord for the 0.7 update

(+8)

I feel like you don't get how complicated game design is.

(+7)(-1)

anyone who comments dumb shit like "wtf whys it taking so long its not that big" is 100% someone who hasn't the faintest idea of how to make anything, game or not

(+3)

for real, and the game just went from demo to pre-alpha, and it's still only the one main dev (afaik). Anyone who's tried to do a large scale creative project should know the goofing around/planning phase is far, far easier than even starting the actual project, and it can be absolutely crushing amounts of effort to keep at it

(1 edit) (+2)

Tbf, sometimes CERTAIN GAMES have taken longer periods of waiting for mediocre updates (partially due to incompetent devs or engine / publisher issues)... So it's not like a fanbase is always entirely absentminded for daring to question their game-devs at all.

But in most other cases, this time included? Yeah, you're right on the money king.
