There's quite a lot packed into this game for just a single week, it's amazing to see what's inside! Definitely hooked me in pretty well.  The sprites and tiles really scratch that traditional 1 bit itch! I'm a big fan of the art in this game! The sheer amount of upgrades really add a lot to the chaotic fun vibes of the game!

The enemies spawn a little too frequently for the sort of damage I was able to deal, especially in the earlier parts of the game. It also slowed down the performance a noticeable amount on lower end hardware, leading to my use button sometimes not registering when trying to open chests.

I'd really like to see the jetpack activate whenever you hold the jump at any point rather than having to wait until the final jump to hold.

The game is overall pretty chaotic, and I really like that feeling despite how disorganised the balance is! I'm sure there's a lot of polish to be done, but at this state it's already a pretty solid "pick up and play" kind of game!

Loved this game. The amount of pickups and mechanics you managed to include are amazing. Very fun and addictive game. Excellent work.

I lit all braziers! Really nice game. Very addictive to keep getting upgrades and improving the character more and more. Good job!

The enemies are too hard to put down and spawn at a very fast rate, but it has really cool graphics and sounds, overall gives a good vibe!

I would have also liked to be able to shoot up and down

This is an absolute gem, definitely one of the absolute best I've played in this jam, it just makes me wanna keep playing and keep upgrading and keep experimenting. Every extra second I play of this game feels rewarding you seriously did an awesome job!

This was really fun! The dynamic music was great, and there was a great feeling of power and enemy progression.

The way some of the items stacked led to a couple of weird interactions. Somewhere around 7 bubbles I realized I just wasn’t taking any real amount of damage, and at some point I stopped using the jetpack because I had so many jumps (and trying to count my jumps to figure out when to start holding space instead of tapping it was a little awkward).

But these are minor things; I opened tons of chests, lit all the braziers, and had a bunch of fun!

I don't think I capped damage reduction from bubbles, so 10 should make you immortal lol. I thought I'd just leave it like that for fun. The jetpack/jump interaction is a common complaint, maybe I should have put them on different buttons, or at least turned the extra jump spawn rate way down.

I'm glad you enjoyed, thanks for playing!

Extremely addictive gameplay loop, I had a lot of fun playing this game. It reminds me of vampire survivors a lot.

It really felt similar to playing risk of rain, so good job on emulating that feeling! It looks good and plays well.

I have a few critiques. I wish the dash was based on movement rather than the last direction you fired. Also the orbs seem to reduce the amount of damage you can do since the delay in attacking enemies seems to be universal instead of based on weapon. I found myself wishing I didn't have them especially when dealing with faster enemies who staying around my hitbox since I could kill them faster if my bullets would connect. I think Terraria has this same design that tends to make summons less useful when using other weapons.

The power-ups aside from the orbs felt fun. I liked the sheer amount of extra jumps you end up getting! My favorite thing to do was to fly above enemies and rain down a shower of bullets! I do wonder if the jet pack could be bound to holding the jump button at any time instead of once you run out of jumps as I had so many I rarely used it.

Great job overall!

Orbs have an unfortunate number of bugs even after squashing many of them, sorry about that. As for the jetpack and dash controls I was trying to simplify the controls as much as possible, but I probably went too far with the jetpack. For dash I settled on facing direction for simplicity but you're probably correct that movement direction would feel better. Thanks for playing and for the good feedback. I'm glad we've had a few fellow risk of rain enjoyers.

Very fun game, the feeling of having several enemies following you is very good, and when a giant enemy comes out of nowhere it's pretty cool too.

The game is kind of easy, but that's not a problem.

Something that would be nice is if the enemies jumped, this would give more challenge and avoid the strategy of staying in a higher layer still.

All in all, the game is really fun.

Thanks for your feedback. I have a habit of making jam games too hard. I made it very hard to die this time so most players would experience the item and enemy scaling later on. Mobs originally followed you up grav lifts but it was causing some issues so unfortunately I had to settle on just letting the big slashers follow you up 1 block stairs.

I understand the choice of difficulty. I had a similar problem in my last game jam that I participated in, and it turned out that there were people who weren't even interested in going until the end.

About the physics of the enemies, it's something very complex to work on in just seven days, so those floating enemies that shoot were very creative.

Progress made by collecting more items is quite satisfying. I think it is fun to play!

Really addictive gameplay. Also like the option to keep playing after you win. Did start to lag towards the end with all the entities (on the we version).

I think my code to disable spawned coins after a while didn't work. You can probably imagine I way overscoped this game so fixing that slipped through the cracks. I was pretty brutal about capping spawns of and continually despawning mobs though. I left it running for an hour to test it and came back to thousands of coins and about 10 frames per second but it didn't crash.

Thanks for playing long enough for the lag to be an issue lol.
