What worked:

It's a really solid puzzle platformer. All the added mechanics work really well both by themselves and when added together with the previous ones. The parts where you have to jump through an area toggling the light to bypass obstacles were my favorite. The part where you have to drop a lamp was also really cool, and I wish I saw more of that.

What didn't:

I ended up dying once because I was standing on the edge of a platform and ended up rolling off haha. I don't know if this is worth fixing (since you'd lose out on the advantages of having it like that and it's only on the very edge of platforms), but it didn't feel good.

I'm just not personally too big a fan of timing puzzles/challenges. This one is purely personal preference, but my least favorite challenges involved flickering and moving lights.

I think it'd be better to have lamp pick up be set to a key (could be same as drop lamp) since I often set it down, then promptly picked it up again just trying to move around.

Bugs:

Didn't see any.

Great job!

Really nice interpretation of the theme! I love it!

THIS LEVEL DESIGN IS MINDBLOWINGLY GOOD. You know something is going when you find yourself audibly going "HOLY *expletive* THIS IS SO *expletive* GOOD"

Not a single thing I'd change about this (apart from having a more explicit tutorial regarding clicking the lightbulbs to turn them on and off, you can never have an explicit enough tutorial when it comes to game jams imo) this game absolutely blew me away seriously incredible job

I love the premise, though I feel that it should be a tiny bit more lenient in some areas. Great job overall though.

such a good game!! great execution of a really smart concept, and very chill to play.  enjoyed the sounds a lot too and the player character is so cute!

Very good idea and execution. The levels are interesting and the theme is well hit. Fun to play.

Really great puzzles and level design!

The level designs are amazing. They kinda remind me of some of the best puzzle platformers flash games I've ever played. This game deserves to be in top 10 imo.

Wonderful game, perfectly embodies the game jam theme.
The mechanic is super creative and the level design uses it very well.
The music is really good, and incorporates the vibe of the game very well.
The art in the game is a little inconsistent, not bad, but it is pixel art where the pixels of objects are not in the same resolution.
Still it was a very fun game, I loved playing it.

Very charming game, cool puzzles and neat mechanics ;)

Great sound and characters. It'd be great to have an indicator on which lights can be turned on/off but is fun anyways.

It's similar to my game as well where lights play a crucial role :)

Thank you for your feedback! The lights you can interact with are a bit bigger, but you're right, they could be better marked.

If you say so, I'm gonna check out your game ;D

Yupp, maybe you can use a switch to turn them off instead of clicking on the light?

Awesome! Looking forward to the review!

Awesome game! Its hard for a game jam game to have such a unique idea and excute it this good,i love how you introduce the mechanics and use them to their full potential, gave me some good aha moments,Well done!

Great game! I thought the tutorial of the various mechanics was well paced. A few of the puzzles seemed repetitious, but I can easily see this growing into a larger game.

Really cool idea for a puzzle game. It's actually pretty difficult to figure out how to solve some of these levels!

One of my favorite games so far in this jam! It'sa great implementation of the theme, and the level design is done very well. The levels are challenging but not frustratingly so. The was a bug where it wouldn't let me jump on a sloped surface but other than that the game felt amzing to play! Good job :D

Amazing game!!   really enjoyed it, only one that made me go through a lot of levels so far.

Really nailed the theme there :)

got stuck at level 10, i am i missing something or that first top light should be movable?

Developer

Thanks for playing, I'm glad you enjoyed it!
In level 10 there is a light movable in the X axis at the start, followed by another which you can drag around in the Y axis

Submitted

Thanks!

I tried moving it last time but i just couldnt, having seen what u wrote i think there might be an issue with the collider there, its up in the joint while all others are on the actual lamp.

Off i go to level 11, thank god for saving progress :)

Best I have played so far, very creative, original and clever, that was an amazing experience, good job

Thanks for playing. I'm glad that you enjoyed that!

Very creative! I really like the lantern mechanic. How did you even code the collision to work like that with the light?

Developer

We just had a script that generates small colliders (the amount of them could be adjusted) on top of platforms, then we simply set the colliders to triggers if they are not in light.
