Very cool horror game 💯
Cool items and good gameplay overall, love this horror game!

Real spooky, good job!
Thanks for the compliments!
Nice game, pretty spooky!
Thanks!
Great game! Really good atmosphere and I enjoyed looking for the pages.
Thanks for playing!
Great game! I had to play it a bunch of times in order to get the first ending so I spent quite a bit of time on this game
Spoilers:
I liked how the game has a lot of hidden mechanics such as being able to use the locket/crucifix to see whether the monster was still chasing you by checking if you could use the item. It was also very scary to see the sudden change in perspective when you hiding in the closet or getting caught by the monster. Some of the items are also very interesting such as the candy which would allow you to quickly sprint through to all the items in the early game so you would have an easier time. Though there were some items that felt kinda useless like the glowstick.
However, after playing the game a few times I got to 8/9 pages but got killed before I could get the final note. This made the game feel a little boring as it eventually became a game of memorization of where all the notes are. Maybe there can be some way of hinting the player where the final few notes are.
I also wished there was some other threat or another monster that would harm me as I find that you would also want to save up your whole sprint bar for the monster. I think making the monster more threatening would also help as you are able to easily run away from it early on.
Overall, it was a good game that made good use of the 2 colour requirement and an interesting vision cone.
Thank you very much for all the suggestions! Super glad that you liked the game :)
wow realy nice game :)
Thank you!
Nice game! Big fan of the animations & art; for sure the highlight. Big standouts are the player character, the ghost walking by the closet, and the jumpscare animation which got me!
I did spend at least 8 minutes though just looking for the last page. I know that just wandering and searching is what's to be expected out of a game like this, but it still felt like to the end it was just luck if I could ever find the last one.
Also, and I'm just guessing mechanics here, but I did have a crucifix on me when I died. But it's because the ghost caught me in the closet. I was a little disappointed, because I still thought the crucifix would save me in there.
I wish there was a more intense or creepy soundtrack during the chase, because the visuals are very creepy, but I did think the sound design could've used some work. In my opinion, good sound design is as, and if not more, important than visual design in a horror game.
Thanks a lot of creating, I had fun with this one!
Thanks for playing :) Actually I just completely forgot to make the crucifix activate on it's own xD
Huh! Maybe that's something you should fix in a patch, then, because it does explicitly say it'll activate on contact.
Yup, there's a few things I'll be ironing out when the jam's over, this is definitely high up on the list.
Incredible atmosphere and writing!
Thank you very much!
Not bad bring back memory playing slender man. The thumbnail kinda suggest is a driving game though XD
Not sure if anyone manage to finish it?
I had great fun watching my friends finish it xD. Yeah the thumbnail isn't finished yet so we just slapped a that picture there for now.
Amazing (and scary) atmosphere. Looks and feels extremelly polished, specially for a jam game.
As, ZachCreates said, you also did an amazing job with the worlbuilding, something that plays a big role in a horror game. Great work!!
Thank you very much! It's our first stab at a horror game and trying to make the actual atmosphere scary was a big hurdle. Thanks again for playing!
I can imagine the worry, but you did an excellent job with it!
I actually got scared by jumpscare. Really polished and well made game!
Thank you! Good to know the jumpscare worked xd
Woah! This is awesome work! I got 8/10 pages and got ending 2/2!
You did a lot of things really well in this game! I like how there's underlying lore throughout the whole game. It really helps build a world for your game which is awesome! The only things that I feel could have been better were mainly controls. I personally felt like movement in regards to the way the player is facing would have felt more intuitive. That could just be me though. Overall, super cool game! I love it!
Yup, controls coudld've definitely been more intuitive. Super glad to hear that you liked it, thanks for playing!
