Well made game, good story
I'm not a fan of puzzles but this game is awesome and the puzzle is well made,
the story is great, very interesting, and a bit scary
the visual is awesome and simple!
the sound effects at the right time make the difference!
Congrats!
This is amazing, got stuck at the end, but after reading the walkthough I did it. Man, this is absolutely awesome, I loved it. It needs a continuation, with more puzzles! Maybe do a game about the May 27th incident!
very good, i am stupid so i had to look up a walkthrough lol
haven't played it yet but love it.
Hey, played your game on stream. Check out my thoughts here https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1086568950?t=01h44m14s
My experience of playing "A Day in the Office" was quite amazing. Very intriguing story and excellent graphic design. I hope there will be more to come soon!
Very good game. It really feels complete, for a jam submission. Creepy story, good pixel art, very nice time mechanic, and simple yet efficient puzzles.
Good job :) !
This was really great! The story's pacing and the way it builds to a climax was done very well. Really enjoyed it!
This was AWESOME!
Loved everything in there man, didn't find any bug either.
You could definitely make something bigger out of this!
Yoo how can you think of such complex time manipulation mechanism. I loved it i even recorded a video for it will upload soon. really great game.
Legal, Top o jogo
5/5
Loved the horror vibes and the puzzles! I was always scared that the Clockhart was going to jumpscare me, lol. It was a very nice story for a jam :)
I found a bug when going back into his office once. It was as if I wanted to hand/interact with a <Null object ###>. It fixed itself once I went into the coworker area and back though.
Despite your warning I obviously clicked on the clock and got the game freezed, lol. But that's fine as I refreshed the page.
I'm not very used to point & click games tbh, and I think it kind of introduced me to the genre. I really enjoyed the game, the storytelling and how seeking little things here and there help us and give us hints.
A few issues/suggestions that came to my mind while playing:
That said, really well done! And thanks for this cool game!
Thanks! I originally did have a pixel art font but it was very hard to read for some reason, so I had to switch to a regular one. As for the aspect ratio, I experimented around to make the rooms look more horizontal which is why I chose something weird, but you are right that 16:9 is usually best. I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Short and sweet!
This genre is way off my comfort zone, but I'm glad I saw it through!
My favorite part is how the music shifts when important creepy details are revealed.
Nice game! I really liked the visuals and the simplicity of controls. The story was interesting and it felt great to figure out stuff myself.
I have only 2 complaints:
Edit: Did you make the game in Godot? I saw that there was a pck file along with the exe. If so, could you please create binaries for Linux too? I played your game using Wine on Ubuntu. I can test your game on Linux if you want.
Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed it! I would've liked to put more, but there's only so much I can do in seven days lol.
And sure! Here's the download link: https://drive.google.com/file/d/11X2wMVTcyBrh1GbG8TddcWTv3f0Vf71U/view?usp=shari...
Hopefully I did it right, I've never exported to Linux before.
Thanks for the Linux export! I ran it for a while. Things seem to be fine.
Well, its true, you do get stuck after checking the clock😂. I like the art and the background, it look really clean. And I really really like this time of game, I've played it till the end! It was a well made game, and I really like the Idea And story behind it.
Very cool game!
I liked how all of the writing told you about things you needed to know, like the food / water being on Thursdays, the window being open to know you could fill the water, none of it felt like guessing.
I like the creepy vibe the game gives off, adds more to the pull to keep playing.
Although, once I got the newspaper, I didn't know what to do. I've walked around seemingly everywhere and tried everything? I would really like to continue, but I don't know how.
Thanks! I tried to put in a lot of clues into the writing, so I'm glad that got through.
Here's a hint: The date in the newspaper is red for a reason. Did you also meet the technician?
Edit: I made a walkthrough for the game in case anyone else gets stumped! It's in the description of the game.
Dang, I tried that too lol. I miscounted my months :(
Wow, what a great experience. Loved the pixel art, narrative /dialogue, and going through the days. Excellent work!
