There’s an issue with the mouse: after moving it ‘outside’ the screen, the character’s view rotates randomly. This gets annoying when aiming precisely or interacting with buttons and levers. It has a quick fix but remains irritating. The game loop is fine, simple, and fun, though it feels somewhat pointless. The sound and graphics are good, fitting well with the game’s style. With more time, it could be great. The bomb feature adds urgency, but I struggled to defuse them. (I found you can ‘clone’ bombs using the fixing machine.) Adding a crosshair would make interaction faster and easier.

Pointless but enjoyable.

Absolute banger, gameplay loop was extremely fun and overall had great vibes.

Biggest question I currently have is how on earth do those toilets fit through such narrow pipes? Why is nobody else wondering this? Are those how speak up and question the wonders of the assmbly line getting silenced? What shadowy deals with the devil are these bigwigs making behind closed doors!? There must be something aberrant afoot... Open your third eye sheeple! /s

This game is pretty fun. I like that the complexity of your job ramps up and more random crap gets thrown in your way of making money... what sick prick in the assembly line thought it was funny to start sending me ducks and bombs! Felt like there were unusually hard days and then unusually easy days.

I'll also echo the spotty grab mechanics. There were a couple times that made the sound like I grabbed it and then it stayed in place.

I also felt like I kind of optimized the fun out of the game after I found out you can duplicate the bombs in the repair machine and quickly throw it in the trash for cash. I ended up packaging no toilets for days straight after I figured that out. Felt like I was cheating the system... which felt kinda good. Screw those corporate fat cats! I'll make my living entirely off of bonuses instead of packaging toilets. That'll show em.

Generic elevator music for ambience in the menus + silence in-game where only the sound of drudgery and toil can be heard worked nicely I thought.

Lmaoooooo this is hilarious! I actually do have some lore planned in my head, but you just gave me a bunch of ideas! I really appreciate the detailed feedback! One of my playtesters figured out the bomb repairing meta you described and I just kept it in because I thought it was a cool work around. I love the story you created behind it by going against the corporation! I'm going to steal that! I tried to add some factory music but I agree with you that having the factory be only sfx worked better.

I enjoyed that! Nice little game, played well and looked great :)

The Interact seemed to be a bit hit and miss for me - seemed like if I can too close to something, it wouldn't interact with it.

Still, great game - good luck with the Jam :)

Thank you for playing!

I liked this game quite a bit. It did feel a bit unbalanced when I did everything right and still went negative. I loved the graphics; this is one of my favorite styles in gaming. Loved it!

Developer

Thank you very much! I agree I could have worked on the balancing for sure!

More fun than I expected. The first time I played I accidently exited fullscreen and my mouse hovered over the game and wouldn't press buttons. I also got stuck in the trash compacter once but a crouched my way out. I think it is a very interesting idea! I did start to get a little bored around day 4 so I kept putting a broken toilet into the packer, I got over -3500 before I ran out of time the next day.

Thank you very much for playing! I had a few bugs when converting to HTML with the mouse capture settings with Godot. Was going to stop the player from being able to get into the trash, but ran out of time haha! Lmaooo that's definitely the least amount of money I've heard someone get!

It's more fun than I originally thought it would be. Sure, it could have benefited from more variety (like more objects or more machines), but it's understandable, given the time constraints. Also, sometimes I would try to trash a bomb, but seems like the machine didn't detect that it was inside, so it end up ignored. However, it's a solid entry and I think you did a great job 🤝

Developer(+1)

Thank you very much for playing and the kind words! I agree, I would have loved to add more variety for sure! Also, I think the issue with the trash is that it can only throw away one item at a time (or maybe a different bug). Was planning to change it but ran out of time. Thank you again!

I mean, why not. Fun idea, am awaiting a full 80 bucks Steam release with bidet as a DLC

Developer

Lmaooo coming soon!

maybe its just me, but the grab mechanic did not work very well and kept breaking

Developer

The grabbing not being perfectly consistent happened when I converted the project to html5. Will work on a fix after the jam.

Good job, enjoyed this one! At first i found the controls a bit annoying, the toilet gets in the way of the view but got the hang of it eventually!

Developer

Thank you very much!! I totally get what you are saying about the products getting in the way. I have a few solutions I think would work I plan to test once the jam is over

Wow, what an amazing game! Such beautiful art direction and style I love it! Great job as for the first game with everything modeled and textured by hand, the gameplay feels very smooth and easy to grasp. I enjoyed every minute of it, hope this one goes to the top of the charts as it deserves! Looks and feels like a real game, it has tons of potential!

Developer

Thank you very much!!! This means alot to me!! :D

Just played the game and gotta say, cool concept! The gameplay was pretty enjoyable overall. Congrats!

Cool concept. The controls were a bit inconsistent, but other than that it was really enjoyable. I still haven't figured out how to defuse the bombs 😂 I tried throwing them into the trashcan but it doesn't seem to work.

Developer(+1)

Thank you very much! I had some issues with the pickup when porting the game to HTML5 I plan to fix after the jam. Also, you should have been able to defuse the bomb by throwing it away, not sure why it wasn't working for you sorry about that.

I found it really fun to play around, I think i would have loved to see more progression, the duck was great! I love ducks hahaha. Super awesome job with the art too

Developer

Thank you very much for playing! I plan to add more to the game after the jam! Had to add a duck! Appreciate that!

Submitted(+1)

Interesting interpretation of the theme! I think this was a cool game, I enjoyed the ramping up of responsibilities that you have. However, I do have a couple of critiques:

1. the picking up is very inconsistent and can be a bit frustrating. Sometimes it took 2 or 3 clicks to pick something up and it doesn't feel responsive!

2. It needs to go faster! In the later levels, I think the difficulty should have been ramped up, it was quite smooth sailing for most of it, with a lot of waiting around for the next thing to spawn.

Anyway, cool entry, and I appreciate the custom made 3D models!

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

Thank you very much for playing and for the detailed feedback!

1. I agree with you about the pickups being inconsistent. This was an issue that arose when converting the project from gdscript to html5 and sadly I couldn't figure out how to resolve it in time. After the jam is over I am going to try to fix it.

2. Again I agree! My original plan was to have the "power failures" which would cause the machines to turn off and also have some more hidden products/interactables you can search for while waiting for the products to spawn. Sadly I had to cut these ideas due to time.

Thanks again!
