What do you like about your game?
I love the shader effects I made! And the ship controls I think turned out well.

sick game, the idea of hurtling space debris onto foreign enemy ships is both funny and satisfying to me. the rocks get ejected at such extreme speeds compared to the ships, its just funny to think about in universe xd. mechanically, rock throwing is just as fun interfacing with as it looks! its satisfying to see the player capture rocks from far away and just as good to see enemies get killed from far away too! small nitpick, but i wish the healing orbs maybe did less damage or have less of an impact on collision. i do get that it would make sense for the ship to take damage on a seemingly dense mass of space debris, but it kinda feels bad when your ship completely gets oblitered due to your wing slightly colliding with the orb (or at least i think that's what happened to me).

this game visually looks really nice! the ship models look really cool + the layout of the map doesn't feel too cluttered and visually noisy! the stuff with shaders especially look nice like the black hole and the screen-space purple material used for the enemy ships (gives it that alien feel)! also the sfx feel super heavy and chunky, making each move feel very impactful, nicely done there!

this was really fun play though i suck at the game xd, 10 was the highest score i gotten so far, still had a blast though! great work!

Glad you liked my game :D

Yeah as it happens the healing orbs dealing damage when they touch you was actually a bug, I didn't find it until after the submission period was over unfortunately ^^;

Fun game, but i have a hard time finding enemy when they are shooting from behind. Maybe that is part of the fun too or a skill issue. And saving it for last, Graphics was impeccable.

Graphics are very unique! I did have some trouble with the ship orientation jumping around randomly at first but I managed to move past it and in the end I enjoyed my time with the game. Reminds me of the HL2 gravity gun in the best way.

Once i got the hang of the aiming i had fun using my patented grabbing technology to destroy the evil purple spaceships

Good Job with the scary looming black hole

simple but really fun and challenging!

It took me a bit to get used to the controls on this, but it was actually pretty fun after that. My brain kept thinking that I had to hold down mouse one to keep the meteor in my tractor beam and then release mouse one to fire it, which kinda got me killed a few times.

It is still pretty hard, though. I think getting a little bit of health back when you complete a wave would do wonders for wrangling in the difficulty. Maybe make the ship move a little faster, at least while accelerating. It feels a bit sluggish.

The big singularity in the middle looks pretty cool. One of those "ghost" shaders, right?

too hard for me but its ok cuz i've achieved to die while killing the last enemy of wave 1, giving me a best score of 6 kills  wave 1 :3

Overall, not bad! Felt pretty hard to dodge the enemies, and the laser grabber aiming is a little off (seems like you have to aim a bit higher than it looks) but still fun!

I love the visuals and how the ship feels to pilot. Shooting the space rocks is a bit tougher than I think it needs to be and I'm pretty sure some of them just clipped right by the alien ships which can be frustrating. I really want to make a game that looks at least as half as good as this.

I think aim is a bit off but its a good one

Love the look of the game, shaders are great, gameplay could use a tad more polish but generally intuitive and fun.

Good job on your first game jam!

Love the concept, and I love how the design of the cards are

If you have any problem with the resolution, just zoom out and it will be fine

Cool concept. I keep dying on wave 2 as well as I suck at evasion. The enemy ships remind me a bit of Babylon 5 shadow fighters. Was that a direct inspiration?

Developer(+1)

No actually! I mostly just messed around with extruded cubes in blender and shader effects until I got something I liked, lol

This is quite an interesting concept! I like the combat mechanics and that you can't just constantly shoot, it's a cycle of picking up and throwing the rocks. I do think that the difficulty could use a bit of tuning (or I'm just terrible at the game lol) because I kept dying on wave 2! Also, occasionally the cursor lines up with the rock but you don't grab it, some weird perspective thing. So maybe an idea would be to change the colour of the cursor if it lines up with a rock. Anyway, quite an interesting entry :)

Yeah I definitely agree the difficulty was a bit high. I wanted to add some sort of aim assist and tone down the enemy spawn rate a bit but I ended up not having time, sadly.
