What do you like about your game?
The little world I built, there's 10 crops with 3 of them doing cool things, a bunch of characters and a variety of zelda style puzzles

Really cool game, love the aesthetics and music. I love Stardew Valley and Link's Awakening was the first Zelda game I've ever played, so your game hits all my check marks. I sadly couldn't finish it in one sitting so I'll have to get back to it eventually, but from what I've seen, playing the first 4 days, this feels like a complete experience.
Something about this gameboy aesthetic and a farming game, paired with the music, makes this a really cozy experience.
You did an amazing job here!
Beautiful music, nice graphics, and ambience
Had a hard time getting to the wrong place and understand what to do / where to go at the beginning, but I ended up finding out, and the npcs did help
Haven't played Stardew Valley, I don't think it's my kind of game, so I didn't like the repetitive part of farming, but I guess some people might enjoy it just to relax
I also say it was repetitive, but having different fruits selling differently helped, and it wasn't as repetitive as I make it sound
Having a zelda-like game cented around crops was also original, and I liked it
Since I like zelda, I guess I wished to go into the dungeon sooner, and I feel like your game could benefit from a better balance between the two
Also, the ending is a really nice place, but lacks an impact
That's a jaw dropping experience. Really, really good work. The visuality and the cohesion of the parts of the coast are awesome. The only TBI thing could be the detail of the texts. For me it was harder to read it sometimes.
It was definitely fun to leave one or two behind, thinking if this crop would help later on. Is it meant to be the process of growing crops and also to have to "farm" stores to get the seeds they need lol
The task of having to repeat until farming seed comes out was a little boring, but I solved the puzzle with pleasure.
There are limited things I can buy with money, so it would be more fun to give more variety, such as increasing the number of inventory spaces or increasing the maximum number of money you carry. I think it would be more fun if it's a game that requires attention to inventory management.
Thanks so much for playing! I completely agree with all your comments, it’s very dull having to farm the stores, I wish I had time to add a way to maybe pay a bit of money to restock the shop again, it would have cut down the farming the store gameplay which was not intended, just a byproduct of running out of time haha
By far the most 'complete' feeling i've had playing any game jam game, I was generally so excited when it all came together at the end.
Had a moment my mouth hung down from a dumb visual joke. Had a 'ohhh right!' moment when i realised the relevance of silly early game dialogue at the end of the game. It's a really charming and satisfying experience!
I also think it's really well thought out, there are obvious areas of progression but finding them isn't linear and boring. The crops you sell doubling as the items you need is clever! and I never got myself stuck by doing the wrong thing, even though the game gives you that choice, it also has a backup way to grow again. Not too much grinding needed, but i still spent an hour and half on Comet Coast. I loved it :) Good job!
It seems you know what you are doing! There are subtle details, like the passing of time, use of different colors and highlighting objects that make the experience more meaningless that merely walking by and hitting E.
The initial puzzle is easy to solve, and then it is followed by a greater one, so progression is there, which welcomes newcomers. A very interesting detail in this sense was to start with three horizontal scenes to immediately allow the player to go north as he solved the first puzzle.
Also, I found very interesting that the game status (including inventory objects, amount, hour, etc.) is all present at glance. As I say, you took care of smaller details and that makes your game greater.
If I could say something that I would change, I would make the music a bit less repetitive (it happened in my game as well, so I put an M key to switch music on/off). Also, in spite the pixel is very well cared, the viewport renders to a higher resolution than the arte, and this is noticeable; this would be great if you wanted to apply nowadays shaders on top of retro graphics, but if you want a real retro feeling, I would make it pixel perfect, so big pixels always match the grid of big pixels.
Best!
Ahh woah, that’s such good feedback, I’m super grateful for it and couldn’t agree more about the proposed changes, I really wish I put a mute button for the music completely slipped my mind.
Its my first pixel art game in unity so the resolution stuff is new, but I’ll defo be looking into making it pixel perfect post jam.
I’ll be sure to check your game as well, when I start playing through them all on the weekend
Thanks so much!
