Cute little game. Visuals are nicely polished, and the potion quests were fun, although it got a bit tedious striking the match every time and the stirring took too long. Overall a fun game.

Cute game! I love the concept behind it and the potion-making part is pretty fun!

sooooo cute! I like the dialogue a lot, and the vibe is great! I really enjoy playing this!

Great work! everything's so cute, it made me relaxed and the gameplay was pretty good I really enjoyed this!

So relaxing and such cute designs, with a great sense of humor-I love how the side effects get added in the potion book after each cure!  Figuring out the mechanics felt very natural, and using common knowledge about the fairy tales as part of the puzzle was a great use of theming.

Pretty precious game and atmosphere. Definitely picking up on the animal crossing vibes. Collecting stuff felt plenty enjoyable and I liked interacting with everyone and stealing the mushrooms from the elves. Revealing the side effects after using the potions was funny each time.

I was thoroughly confused the first time opening the cauldron, even with the instructions on the game page. The process of lighting the match is a neat idea but it felt so foreign being the only time the game really required mouse input. It seemed like there was no way out of the cauldron other than completing a potion, suddenly making me feel very trapped.

As some others said, inventory screen would be a welcome addition. I found that having to skip all the '...' of the main character to get me a little frustrated with the otherwise lighthearted dialog. Also, it seems I can't give the piper guy his flute back :(

Cozy game! Amazing overworld and title screen music. The sound effects were good too. I wish that there was an inventory though. I like the dialogues and it was fun to see which side effects the potions had. I wish there was a clear goal or something to get you started. The art is extremely good and the atmosphere is really well built. Great game! Good job!

I didn't want to kill the cute ice faeries!! :( I couldn't do it! :(

I know what I have to do but I don’t know if I have the strength to do it 😔

This game was cute and fun! I liked all the steps of using the cauldron, striking the match to stirring the brew. You did a good job writing dialogue for the amiable Animal Crossing type characters. It felt a little morbid killing the faeries for their dust, I'm not sure if there was storyline thing saying they were bad that I missed. Good stuff!

Developer

They little fairies are Will O’ Wisps and Wood Sprites 😂 they are mean little buggers, we just didn’t have time to make them fight back. Glad you enjoyed the game tho!

I like the presentation of the characters from old tales and the side-effects were really funny. The game gave me some animal crossing vibes and the potion making was pretty innovative addition. The font was kinda hard to read though, but that aside this was a great experience. Wonderful job!

Thank you so much for playing the game and for your valuable feedback :) Will try to keep in mind font after the jam!

The atmosphere of a fairy tale is nice. Dialogs and side effects add funny twists :) I couldn’t figure out how to heal the Bremen band, though… tried some potions on them but with no result.

It would be nice to have an easy-to-access inventory. Firing up the cauldron each time feels a bit repetitive, but not too much for a short game. It could be a good idea to go through the whole procedure only the first couple of times.

In the end, it wasn’t clear what to do next. I was left with two potions unused, and no one around seemed to be interested in them.

Hiya! Thanks for your feedback and we’re glad you enjoyed the game!

The Musicians of Bremen don’t actually have a quest attached to them as of yet. They have dialogue but unfortunately we ran out of time to implement that, so that will be added once the jam has ended!

As for thé potions, there are a few potions that are just there to fill out the potion book, so it sounds like you did everything you were supposed to! Definitely agree with the inventory system tho, so we’ll be adding that when the jam is over too!

Cute and a bit casual, but in a good way. Nice design and fun to work around as a fairy doctor. Reminded the idea of Doctor Aybolit somehow.

Developer(+1)

Thank you :) That's my first time hearing of Doctor Aybolit but I can definitely see the connection

I really liked the visuals of the game. The music was really cool too. The characters were pretty much a hit or miss. Sometimes the dialogue was funny e.g. the wulf. Unfortunately the technical side of the game isn't as polished as the art and music were. You could go over characters. One wooden enemy glitched on a bush and I wasnt able to kill him. In contrast the brewing minigame is really polished. I would have liked a tutorial that explained the mechanics and a little introduction to the world would have been great too. I couldn't play through the game because I didn't know what to do next. I played the game 35 minutes. Overall a good experience.

Developer

Thanks for spending such a long time playtesting and for the feedback! We've pushed quite a lot of bug fixes so hopefully it's running smoothly now :) A tutorial and introduction will definitely be added once the game is over, as well as a visual quest indicator. Not really sure what you mean by "the characters were pretty much a hit or miss". Are you referring to the dialogue, animation, quest, etc?

Submitted(+1)

I was referring to the dialogue. In the end it was really solid
