cool stuff! definitely my kinda vibe with the overall look.
I have a couple small points:
Add an interaction prompt for the door in the cabin.
If you jump onto the slopes at the beginning you slide really fast along them and get stuck for a second, feels like a bug with your character controller.
the water at the beginning is super difficult to see, I would recommend having a different texture / mesh to represent the bottom of the pond so it stands out more.
keep working on this, i think you've got a solid foundation for a game. I look forward to seeing where you take this
I enjoyed trying this, but unfortunately it was not scary at all. So the lack of interaction got me bored as there was no threat for me. Cool aesthetic tho.
I liked the atmosphere, but I'm not sure I quite get the game. Right after I got out of the intro segment, the enemy jumped at me before i could enter the forest proper, and killed me as I cannot outrun it. Then it just set me back to the previous torch which was five meters away, but the enemy wasn't there anymore. I lit up a couple torches following the right side path, but then after dropping off the big rock I found the enemy again and promptly got killed again as I could not outrun it either this time. Am I missing something?
Great atmosphere, the graphical style and music/effects make for a very eerie atmosphere. I thought the placing of torches was done well - I was always almost out of candle by the time I got to the next one. Great way to build tension.
I agree with other commenters that the monsters were the least spooky part of the game - I was more on edge just wandering around than when I actively encountered a monster.
Overall, well done. Looking forward to getting spooked in future demos.
Nice & spooky atmosphere. I enjoyed the core gameplay of just walking around & exploring the forest, it's chill. I think the wick on the candle is almost too short however, I often found myself choosing to die just because I knew it'd be faster to relight my candle that way than walking back. I have some complaints about the monster(s), it seems to kill you almost so quickly that there's no real build-up of suspense, he'd charge and I'm basically already dead. Another thing that might make the monster worse is that it seems to park right in the middle of the paths, so once I started to see the monster while he was chilling I never even thought of sneaking past him--which seems like a missed opportunity to crank up the tension.
I tried getting into the cave a few times, but the monster was always blocking the entrance. My last attempt caused some Null Reference Exceptions so I stopped trying. Here's the log file with the included exceptions: https://pastebin.com/TKzcPvVB If I had to guess the problem starts at line 116 in the log, which looks like HaltProgressTrigger.cs Line: 16. Probably just an object reference missing an assignment.
I've attached the video of my playthrough, I hope it helps!
The graphics are good. I don't like the invisible walls or the lack of new spooky music when the candle is out. Enemies just spawn even if you have a candle full. They are big, but they don't have presence. Good game though.
All they really need is a more spookier way to showcase they are threats. This would mostly be done with the sound effects. Like a scary distorted howl randomly before seeing them and/or more powerful effects on the eyes that is blinding the MC into darkness.

Nope, the monster's behaviour is just badly thought through. I'm planning a total rework of that.

Thanks for suggesting your game for stream! You can watch it here:

Thanks for taking the time to play and give feedback on this project, I am planning on changing the enemies in the future.

The invisible walls were annoying, but the forest had some great atmosphere. I never knew hopping boulders could be so deadly.
