I recorded playing games with commentary, and your game is one of them.

Here's the link to the whole DD50 folder:

I look forward to future demos.

It looks good and kicking doors feels great. The guns and their effects look nice, but they lack some impact in their animations or particles. There's no reason not to keep kicking, so playing this game optimally could look weird.

casings are billboards/10

Love the aesthetics, just wondering if it'd look better with 3d enemies instead of sprites like in XIII. I hope you'll add physics to all the clutter. There's quite a few guns already, having them reload offscreen is a good idea I think. No sliding left/right/backwards? You can scroll through guns while paused. All the bullet casings facing the same direction looks a bit funky.

It's a walking visual gallery with some physics and guns that paint with decals. It looks nice, but there's nothing else to it. That said, it's a good looking base and I look forward for the game that will accompany this later.

Visually very appealing. Kicking in FPS is one my favorite things. Kept hoping I could kick other things and have them break or move or something.

I didn't read the controls before starting the game. Walking up to a door and pressing E expecting to open it and just kicking it off its hinges was quite an intro.

Looks nice, but I don't know if there's much else to say at this point. Shame there's no enemies you can try out the guns on.

I hope you're planning to add reload animations.

Movement feels nice and responsive, though the area for testing is quite limited.

Only problem I noticed is that the slide sprite stays up a little too long if you merely tap it, letting you do silly things.

Love the artstyle. Making enemies and weapons high-res sprites is an interesting choice but I can see it giving the game it's charm.

Movement is solid, though there is a bug with sliding is that if I let go of Shift mid-slide the sliding speed stops but the leg and "fast lines" still remain until the slide would be normally over.

Kicking down (or rather, out) doors is satisfying and shooting seems okay so far, though difficult to tell without any active combat. One thing I noticed that might be a concern is how spread is standard instead of growing dynamically so that the first shot is accurate and then the spread/recoil grows more as you keep shooting, but might work well enough without that regardless depending on the combat.

Great art. Movement and shooting feel good enough to me. A walk button that isn't quite as slow as crouching or as fast as the default move speed might be nice. Really comfy setting. Not a whole lot to say at this stage, but I'm looking forward to seeing more.

  • Acceleration and deceleration are too high for how cramped the environment is.
  • The slide should have a minimum speed requirement and it should lock you into it for at least half the duration.
  • Small objects like bottles shouldn't collide with characters.
  • Needs some upwards camera movement when firing guns.

Incredible visuals and combat is all there. Can't wait to see where this goes.

I'm a sucker for that thing where you have a 3D game and there's a thing that's just a floating sprite, and when you walk around it the sprite changes to reflect the angle you're looking at it from.

I am assuming that there's just a few rooms with nothing really to shoot, and the metal door is impassable and there's no sounds and I'm not being a dumbass who missed a whole load. lemme tell you this is some sublime visuals, even with nothing to do I'm enjoying just walking into doors and looking out windows and sliding around. this visual style is going to take you far, everything just looks chef's kiss, y'know. I really hope to see a full game looking like this.

Very nice visuals! Not much else to say. I have high hopes for this game.
