I like how there's less straight dungeon-like gameplay here than the previous one. The /agdg/ lore writing on these is fun, whereas the stock RPGMaker adventuring held back that old one.
Unexpectedly seeing the gargoyle here was really funny and it took me by surprise.
It is weird how you can't light up the fire when you have a spell called fire, especially when there are battle system-related solutions like having the beast in your party.
I was getting "don't know how to start up the caravan yet" text even after obtaining the tools. That being said, even with the text displaying wrong state, the caravan still started up when I completed the other requirements.
I got out and then reloaded to finish the sidequest until I got the strongman the potion. I gave it to him, but seemingly nothing came of that.
This is a nice little demo full of variety; I actually wanted for there to be more content beyond the blockade.
Very cute! I liked all the references (also very happy to see the fairies being there, it is an honor). It is a shame the potion quest cannot be completed, I remember reading about it on the thread.
Welp, I played as much of it as I could but I ended up with the crash just as I was about to name the new caravan. But you already seem to know about that. I hope you bother to fix it later.
Is the potion quest broken in the latest version? I didn't write down what the alchemist wanted and he doesn't repeat himself.
The fight with the big shrimp was surprisingly epic. Fisherman was the clear MVP with his heals because I hadn't figured out how to use magic yet.
The writing in general is a lot of fun.
Stuff I noticed broken while I was playing:
A lot of places, Lillith's dialogue isn't blue and has a [1] next to it. Also saw it with the old caravan leader once.
Healer doesn't seem to heal you when you dance?
Beast trader doesn't actually take your money when you buy the beast, which nicely balances out the lack of free healing.
Okay wow it took me a while to notice but the "magic" option in combat isn't there. I thought I just didn't have magic but the field is just blank, it works fine.
Aw man, just as I was getting into the swing of it, it crashed when I was trying to name the new caravan.
Liked all of the references, I have gotten stuck but want to pick this up again. I think next step is to get the potions and cut that tree down, give me a clue or two please.
i know you probably wont update this very much anyway since it's just a Trash Game for Fun, but i defeated Cyan Owl (RIP) and looted her chest. talking to the tentman doesn't actually progress the quest, he still says i didn't find her.
Sorry, I'm too lazy to look into fixing that one. Assuming you did all the other Quests for it, theres nothing more happening afterwards anyway. He just blows up the Fight and the Game Ends. Sorry.

Never been a fan of rpg maker gameplay. The humor was ok I guess. Frankly it didn't work for me.

Tomo I hate to do this to ya but I tried replaying it and the ending is still broken.
You deliver the people that want to join, the contract, then enter a name, then deliver the tools.
But then the guy says there's still more to do instead of going into the ending.
But I got the happy ending for the two lovers so I can't complain too much.
Replayed the game and found the same problems that OBFdev had. Also the guy that chopped trees received the helmet, but that didnt change anything.
Ending is now fixed.
Guy chopping Tree should change into a Warrior Sprite, but thats it. He's not supposed to do anything more.

Potions might be bugged, depending on if you're on the latest version or not.
Generally, just try to talk to all NPCs, sometimes multiple Times.
I will give it a try, overall, fun little shoutout to the devs, I want to play the first one some other day.
