I played for about an hour all without items (see picture of the furthest I got), then read some of the comments that said I could trade the statues for items.  I chose the shoes and, honestly, I played for about 10 more minutes and didn't notice any changes.

I'm guessing you're looking to Jump King as a form of inspiration, which I never played, but does explain why this game is seems hard and punishing--so if you that's what you're going for nailed it.

The movement feels sluggish which I think clashes with the character design (when I see a kangaroo I imagine I shouldn't be this slow).  It'd be nice to be able to turn faster along with the slower speed and it would also be nice if you could buffer the jump input while airborne, which would've definitely helped out whenever I adjusted my position with a series of small-hops.  UPDATE: I've played a little bit more and realized that the shoes let you double jump--I guess make the jump-buffering only happen without the shoes, but now I want faster turn speed more even more.

Both the character design & animations are very charismatic and you did nail the PSX/N64 aesthetic 100%--great job there!

Played for roughly 10m.

When you select the Portal Crystal the Portal appears, if you select it again by cycling through items it disappears, then never appears again. Also couldn't figure out how to use Items, I think I recall you saying I could exchange the Statues for the Items at the Priests, no Idea how.

Music and Animations are great, Graphically it's consistent. Menu isn't very nice, Controller Support seems to work fine.

This isn't really Rage inducing as it is more boring, I don't feel any Drive to try and move up the Tower or whatever it is. If you just allowed the Player to move and jump like in a regular 3D Platformer, added some more Story, and proper Platforming Levels, it'd be a much better Game I think.

Either Way, not my Type of Game.

bug report: when reloading a saved game, the trophies (at least Slam Dingo at the start) respawn.

The item choice right at the start of the game, giving each player a very different experience (before they get their next item which is at least an hour away), is a very cool design that I haven't seen in any of these precision platformers before.

I'm very bad at it but the style is great and the music feels very nostalgic somehow. Great stuff

Saw on the threads you said you did each of these models with vertex point colors for textures; I really love the way that style looks. Visually the game feels reminiscent of games like Ape Escape and Banjo Kazooie, but not in an overly indulgent nostalgic way if that makes sense.

That said, it's pretty hard as other people have said, so much so that you should definitely get it to some streamers - the figurines will definitely keep the players and chat entertained.

I'm not a fan of rage games but this would be a good streamerbait game.

Best part was the music, great visual, great gameplay, hope you learned to use git and not using godot on steam.

This game is very dfficult, but equally very rewarding. Maybe the learning curve is a little steep, could put in an easier first level to get the basic movement under control. Some of the collisions seem to be slightly annoying, I kept sliding off of those chains at the start which just felt unfair. Apart from that it's really beautiful and feels great and responisve. Keep it up!

I ragequit, which is probably the best compliment for these type of games. I don't have the patience for that. Seems to work well from a technical standpoint.

"Ordeal" is RIGHT, damn. This game is hard. Probably harder than you anticipated (since devs often underestimate the difficulty of their games, from my experience). I'm ashamed to admit I couldn't even get into the portal at the start. I'm handing in my elite gamer card immediately.

The title sequence is actually really, really, great.  And the overall aesthetic is good, way better than it looked in webms I've seen. 3hard5me though.

Video Feedback: I hated your game but i can't deny that you've nailed what you're going for.
