Crab mech is sweet and I'm begging to have the FOV uncapped so I can do 360 wall/ceilling climbs After having poured hundreds of hours into titanfall and gearup (before it imploded), I can confidently state that this is cool Also, I assume the rocket has some spread which feels a bit bad since it's a BIG BANG and i feel bad if it missed on base inaccuracy
-When I start the game the crab leg IK went a bit nuts, if possible that should be precalced so it's still on load. In general, it seems to freak after falling from a certain height or something.
-Depending on camera angle the colors will change or some things will lose their textures and become gray.
-There is no projectile for the missile so at first I thought it was borked. Not enough feedback for revving the gatling gun, so I also thought that was broken at first. If you add sounds it would be way better.
-Dead enemies stick around and will steal attention from the lock on.
-Gun UI doesn't stay upright from the camera's perspective.
Besides all that, it's pretty neat and has some potential. Keep chipping away at it.
The crabmech design is solid and great IK! The scan lines on the ammo counter are also a nice touch. IDK this is intentional or not (seems not by lack of any vfx) but I was able to "fly" by pressing jump again while airborne. Given the size of the level it'd also be nice to travel faster--which I did by flying. As others have said the camera does get a little funky in corners/close to the wall.
I liked the free aim/lock-on options, but it'd be nice QoL improvement if the free aim had a UI reticle of some kind, and I could toggle the lock-on by pressing shift instead of holding it while close to an enemy.
Shot all there is too shot, climbed on Stuff, jumped off. Nothing really there, the IK and Wall clinging seems to work well, the Camera seems to not work well at all.
The HUD for the Guns looks nice, but it doesn't flip with the Camera, so when climbing on the Ceiling, it's upside down. Also gets confusing when the Camera flips upside down aswell, it 'might' be better to keep the Camera in one Orientation and just aling the Mecha to the Walls/Ceilings.
Thanks! And no, probably not. I had that in earlier versions though but keeping aiming & free movement separate felt better in the end. Thanks for playing!
For some reason I can't shoot at all? Or when I fire rmb it just blows up immediately? Also, only room for one sea creature mech game dev, sorry buddy ;)
Ey thanks for playing! The gatling gun needs some time to spool up, maybe that's why it didn't shoot? Or it's a bug, then I'll look into it ^^ . Shrimp vs. Crab it is then ;)

The camera is a bit jank, but the leg mechanics work really good. Love the ability to climb on walls (or on pretty much any surface), good stuff.
You can also do an infinite jump.
Looking forward to further updates!
-Playing on web.

Good start. Nice job with the weapon UI and the leg physics, they look on point. Not much else to say except it has potential, keep at it!

Played maybe 5m.

Thanks for the feedback! I'm already testing some more camera options because that's the most frequently mentioned pain point right now

Thanks for the video! Really interesting to see someone else than me play and hear their thoughts
while upside down the ammo counters remained flipped in the wrong way, pretty funny.
clearly early in dev, but promising.
I like the idea and how the game looks. This is promising. I wish the crab would move faster.
Can you make the crab to point his guns at the middle of the camera view instead of just infront and down when shift is not holded?
Overall I can already see the potential and will not crab you any further

The idea is cool.
I think you should try a downloadable version since FPS games in HTML can be tricky.
Have you ever thougth of a "dash forward" button?
Thanks! I'll upload a downloadable version. I'm also looking into more movement options, thanks for the suggestion!
