This game is a simple idea done right. The the name of the game here is that touching the light gets you killed. The light behaves how you'd expect and the game does a good job easing you into this concept.

I like how instantaneously the light wraps around corners. It can seem that you are safe but then the next moment the light touches you and you're dead. I also like the puzzle-like nature of the game and I had to wrack my brain to figure out how to get through all the levels. I find this game difficult, but not exceedingly so.

Visually, this game is a good example minimalism done right. I think the melancholic atmosphere fits the gameplay well. And the light looks satisfyingly cool. A gripe I have is that the triangle is black and so are squares and terrain which makes the player blend in. I think the triangle should have had an outline and a white dot in its center showing where the hitbox is.

I managed to complete all twelve levels and collected all the collectables in five of them. I don't think I have it in me to collect them all ^^;

I enjoyed myself with this game. I have a hard time seeing this as a full-length commercial release but as a fun demo it fulfilled its task.

Fantastic visuals and great light tech (how many rays do you cast per light source, if you don't mind me asking?). I enjoyed the tutorial levels, they ease you into the game quite well. Very thankful for the controller support, it felt a bit better than using the keyboard.

I like the overall action puzzle mechanics, and I didn't have much trouble differentiating the triangle from everything else, though I can understand how that may be an issue. Levels seemed to be out of order - last level was much easier than the previous ones, even though it looked much more menacing. The "sightlines" level seems to have an extremely tight opening for the player to move, dunno if it's intentional, but it kinda registered as "impossible" in my head at first.

I liked it a lot.

Also, rotating squares are pitch black, but the game is called "Rotating squares OF light". False advertising much? 0/10, lights were not rotating.

for hit detection, that's two rays per light source, just to the left and right of the player. for visuals I couldn't tell you, I used godot's built-in lighting system

yeah i also think that the triangle being the same color of the squares and background objects just doesn't make it pop up enough.
maybe it should have a smaller, white triangle inside of it?

It glitched out for me at the level "Witnesses, Patient",  triangle man got stuck when he respawned so I couldn't move him :( . I thought the light mechanic was really mesmerizing.

Music is good. The light mechanic is good. Some of the graphical effects makes it hard to read what is going on, and he triangle needs to stand out a little more, maybe by being grey, since it blends in with everything else very quickly. Also wish there was a tutorial. A good base to work off from.

i liked the light mechanic

was a little thrown off by how small your hitbox is but i got used to it, I think the visual effect on death needs to be toned down a little i found myself waiting for it to end before trying the level again

Hard ass game and I respect the aesthetic. Didn't get very far tho

The visuals are very ambitious, certainly well done.

Gameplay is not my cup of tea, but surely there is an audience. I was confused about the white squares: Is it necessary to collect them or not?

Fun, reminds me a of World's Hardest Game. Which it should because the game's basic mechanic is the same, avoid the dangerous objects; move to collect "the reward" and travel to the exit.

This game has something much better though: line of sight avoidance mechanics. Which itself is pretty sick. Every want to play a game where the most dangerous thing in it is a lens flare? Now you can.

Graphics, juice, and music are wonderful.

The title deserves better art for how surprisingly fun this game is to play.
