This game is full of graphics, sound and many other elements. That is very impressive. The rules were unclear to me so I just played around a little. I hope one day to submit an entry which includes music and proper graphics :)

You can always check out https://opengameart.org or other free asset sites, they can be great if you don’t want to make everything yourself!

Very fun, and looks awesome - an online multiplayer mode could be fun!

Developer

Thanks! Online multiplayer would only work with RetroArch Netplay, but It’s definitely possible!

This game feels great and you have amazing art work. I did not bother reading the rules, I am like that, I prefer to play games and try to figure out things. I won because somehow one of my pieces became a super piece, and I took out all of my opponents pieces. It didn't feel very difficult. With proper AI this could be a lot of fun.

Developer

Thank you!

Kudos for great anime reference and interesting devlog 🤗

Developer(+1)

Thank you! The devlog is something new I tried, and it’s lots of fun!

Looks like an interesting game, so I'll definitely will come back later to see if you implement a more interesting AI!

The implementation is great too - the interface is very intuitive, and there is an in-game copy of rules :)

Developer(+1)

Thank you! I knew I had to add a tutorial for this one, even though I usually put that off and forget about it :P. I’m glad to hear that the interface is usable!

Love the aesthetic! Did you make all the sprites? I watched Steins;Gate many years ago but didn't know that this game emerged from it. The tutorial definitely helped me understand enough to kinda play. I'm pretty bad but I like how fast paced the game can be and how the interface or animations don't get in the way of the flow.

Are fan games allowed to use the Steins;Gate characters without copyright worries?

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing! Yes, I made the sprites. I guess it’s not that clean regarding copyright, but I think 5pb tolerates fan-games to a certain extent.

Neat implementation of Ghosts! It looks really nice

Developer

Thank you! It just occurred to me mid-jam that it’s probably only fun with a decent AI… :P

The game really shines once you start playing a bunch back to back with the same person. I’m not sure how to capture that essence in an AI player.

Developer

You’re right. I’m definitely going to add a PvP mode, although it doesn’t really map nicely because the players will have to remember some cards. (You can always reveal your cards when your opponent looks away though)

Cool game! Kindof like a hacker chess. Thanks for providing the tutorial because I probably wouldn’t have figured it out otherwise! TIC-80 seems like a really cool gamedev target.

Thank you! If you like the concept but find the AI boring, maybe come back in a week or so when it’s more fleshed-out, I plan to make an actual “release” then.

I’d love to play your solitaire, but I get this error (in Firefox nightly with javascript.options.wasm_gc on):

Uncaught (in promise) CompileError: wasm validation error: at offset 26109: unrecognized opcode: 15 0

Yep, it needs a more recent build of Firefox Nightly or Chrome Unstable because it requires very new WebAssembly features that aren’t shipped in current stable releases. That will change in about 4-6 months hopefully!

I’ll definitely check out newer builds of your game, gave you a follow!

Developer(+1)

Oh, I was using Beta, not nightly. With nightly it works. (Really fun controls btw!
