Cool stuff.

My first idea was also to use coin flipping as a thematic motif/element, but ended up using a mirror instead.

You even managed to make coin flipping work as the whole basis of the game!

Surprisingly good fun when you get the handle on it.

Great game!

really fun game and great concept.

good job.

I really liked the concept and the game. (I think i found a bug where you would just repeatedly hit the coin while its already on the table and it would flip)

pls also rate my game

Developer

Thank you, I'm glad you liked it! The coin's collider is actually disabled once it lays completely flat, but sometimes it takes a second if it has a lot of rotational momentum.

fun take on the theme and game! Got stuck trying to make two coins land on heads haha

Developer

Lol, I'm glad you liked it!

Really clever take on the theme, and really fun. Great job!

Developer(+1)

Thank you! I'm just glad it was fun!

The idea is strange but the game is really great ! I like to flip coins now !

Developer

Yeah, the concept definitely is strange but I'm glad  you enjoyed it!

I am not a very good coin flipper.

Developer

Oof

I initially had the idea of coin flipping for my game too, but ultimately went with something different because I couldn't think of something good. You implemented this well!

It was not as easy as I thought it would be! Nice job! Only thing I'd change is how far the coins can get from the camera. It can be really hard to see them.

Developer

Yeah it definitely is a strange concept, and I'm surprised it actually turned out well!

And thanks for the feedback! I probably could have tweaked the camera a bit more.

Really fun game!  Like the 3D pixel art, physics are nice and consistent, the sfx are satisfying.  Managed to cheese by spam clicking on a landed coin to wiggle it to flip :P

Developer

I'm glad you liked it! While the game disables clicking once the coin is flat, it takes a second so there's a window of time you can spam click it. Also I wanted to make it clear that the pixel art was 110.95% intended from the start and I did not just give up on using irl pictures for the textures and instead used whatever was the easiest option...

Honestly, your game surprised me a lot. The concept just works really well and made me focus a lot to manage to end the game, try different strategies (and as I see in other comments, the abuse on the landing coin is indeed very very strong compare to the rest even if I think you can't abuse it too much when 3 coins or more).

Huge congrats on your entry, way more interesting than we can think at first when we see a game about flipping coins :)

Developer(+1)

Ngl, the game kinda surprised me too. I'm glad you liked it!

You set out to make a coin flipping game fun, and I think you succeeded! The sound effects were fantastic, but what really impressed me were the graphics! 3D with pixel art is a really cool aesthetic!

My only issue was that it seemed fairly easy to spam-click a coin just before it lands to force it into the right face, which could probably be solved with a stronger push force and a cooldown timer. The reset animation also felt fairly slow.

Overall, the game was great, and has a surprising amount of potential! I can almost imagine levels with weirdly shaped coins or even various sided dice!

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much! During development, I was considering limiting the amount of times a coin can be clicked, but decided to scrap the idea because of time and I didn't want to risk making the game too hard. But I probably should have shortened the respawn delay Lol.

Never thought flipping a coin could be this fun, the sound when they hit the table sounds just so amazing. Only negative is that restarting a level feels a bit slow

Developer

I'm glad you liked the sound effects! And thank you for the feedback!

Great idea and gameplay. The sound is nice too.

Developer(+1)

Thank you! The sound was kind of hard to record so I'm glad you like it!

Developer

Idk, but I'm glad I accomplished my goal!!

What an out of box idea! If we had an originality rate, you'll be on the roof! I love the minimalist audios, so satisfying! I never thought flip a coin could be this fun! Great work!

Developer

Thank you so much!! I'm so glad you enjoyed it!
