Basically SpaceChem 10/10
To be compared to a Zachtronic game is a deep honour. Thank you!
A really good puzzle idea, after multiple characters are introduced I understood that the game was offering much smarter puzzles than i originally thought. I really liked the fact that you didn't limit the amount of arrows that could be placed in a level, instead the limit is kind of the space needed. I love that there can be multiple solutions for each level.
Like other comments are mentioning the transitions are a little slow, but I don't think its something that big of an issue, especially for a game jam. :) I really would love to see more of this!
Thank you! Yes, my level designs do seem to lull people into a false sense of security before suddenly throwing a curve balls haha. I'm glad you enjoyed it and I'm planning to seriously expand it after the jam after all the positive encouragement.
Nice game, i liked the graphics and music!
Thanks!
slooow transitions
Was wanting to build a bit more player feedback in there - like a congrats screen with number of commands used and time of completion. But time.
Thanks for playing and commenting.
Great game it's very fun. I love the music.
Thank you so much!
At first i thought it was a bit easy but then it got real challenging :D. well done.
I like how you introduce players into the difficulty. You should make a version where you can build your own levels. you could get a real cool community going. get mad complex levels.
Daemn
Yes! Just towards the end of the week I was like: Hey what if I created a level builder?
A pretty solid puzzle game. Some polishing and a hundred more levels, and it could totally be published for mobile on some gogleplay or something :)
PS Please check out and rate my game if you have the time :)
Thank you. I will check out yours.
thanks )
I suck at puzzle games, but from what I played it was a really fun little game!
Also the controls are great and subtle way of using "code logic" .
Thanks. It's a little abstract but I think it communicates the same emotional experience :)
I got stuck on puzzle 8, but IMO it's an amazing idea and an amazing game. I'd love to come back to this with a lot of spare time but lots more games to rate and I'm juggling that with another jam in progress :) Nice job
Thank you. Good luck with yours (I'm still getting round to it) and I do hope you come back and try again. I'll probably have added more to it!
I'd love to try it again after the jam is over! Right now I'm trying to rate peoples games, as well as make my submission for Proc Jam which has 6 days left I believe. Good luck on adding more to it, I'll follow you so I can see if you add more after the ratings are over. If I forget about it and you update it don't hesitate to message me on discord (you can find me on the GDU and BTP discords with Fatal Exit as my username)
Thanks. I'm planning to turn it into full blown game after the jam. All the best with your jams!
I like the movement mechanic brings the theme to life and the music is lovely
All credit for music goes to Daniel Docherty. Thanks for playing and commenting!
I got caught up on puzzle 8, initially what to do was not perfectly clear, I wanted to put things in the command location. Once I figured out what to do the first few puzzles were pretty trivial but the game definitely picks up. It is a tough puzzle game.
Level 6 and 8 are definitely where some curve balls start getting thrown at the player. I was scared the puzzles are too tough!
Yeah, as the developer I think it is better to heir on easier puzzles, especially for a game jam, where people want to see everything. I had 6 puzzles and felt they were too easy.
One of the best. Very creative and fun to play :D
Congratulations on your entry for the gamejam!
Thank you so much for playing and commenting
It is really the best game i have played so far on this jam! Is awesome! keep developing and consider use this game for mobiles 10/10
Oh my goodness! Thank you.
thank you for this amazing game!
Pure and utter brilliance :) !! It fits the theme of the jam wonderfully and got me thinking like crazy, as if I really was programming ;D ! The level design was awesome, little music cute ( + didn't distract me from those tricky puzzles) and the art was squishy and just plain nice ! Keep it up mate, this is a great piece (something you could definitely expand on)
Oh wow! Thank you so much for the encouragement. Perhaps I should consider a mobile app?
Very nice game! Good fit with the music, i personally got stuck at level 6, but it's pretty well made, i love how some of the levels, no matter your level of programming knowledge, will get you trying something at first, seeing it fail and then realise the actual way to do it, Great work!
XD I was quite happy with some of the level designs.
Yes, I believe level 6 is the first real tricky puzzle in the game. It gets more devious lol. I was surprised really at how a simple mechanic can produce really complex puzzles.
Thank you for your feedback!
This is a great puzzle game! The music and art are cute, and the gameplay is really fun!
Thank you!
A beautiful game, the graphics and the music gives a great experience. The game seems very good for mobile. Still I don't see how this game is linked with the theme, maybe if you changed the arrows with "ifs" I would see it more in the theme... But overall it was nice! Good job!
Thank you so much!
This game is fun and addicting! The music and graphic is nice too...
Thank you so much!
This is one of the best games I played today :D
Gosh! I'm blushing. Gonna get round to playing and rating games today myself.
Great game! I'm really liking it, and nice touch with the music, but... I didn't see a clear connection to the topic of the jam
Thank you. I agree. If I had to name a weakness, it would definitely be the connection between the theme and the game. My connection is actually inspirational. These kinda coding games really remind me of how I feel while I'm game developing. = set up some instructions, see if everything crashes when you press play, celebrate if they don't!
This white squares, they are too cute to look like robots XD, but good puzzle.
Thanks!
