I got stuck in a level where like 60 bats kept spawning at once and murdering me and resetting me to right before the bats spawn lol. The music was pretty impactful though and the dog sprite was nice :D
Well. The story is good, the music and soundeffects too. The art is also good. But the game is kind of a huge bug. The levels don't go in the right order (when you finish one level you don't always go to the next level that is in the starting menu where you choose the levels). One level (I don't know which) is impossible - it's the one with many bats but I don't know which level that is. The game is just very confusing and you after finishing a level you don't always go to the actual next level as mentioned before!
I really enjoyed this zelda-like advenure! The art is cute and the game doesn't stop suprising you with new things. The only thing I can complain about is the dodge mechanic - it seems useless, doesn't even meke you invinvible. You can just spam space and kill most enemies, so what is even point of it? But overall I liked it, well done!
The game art is amazing and the controls are responsive. I just don't really see the relation with the theme.
The story is pretty nice, but I'm not really sure how it fits with the theme of "You are not the hero". I'd recommend making the story a lot more clearer. Some parts of this were really nice, though, like the chase.
You have a nice set of core mechanics thanks to using the Heartbeast tutorial, but you didn't really do too much with it. You just used the same bat enemy over and over again. Maybe try looking into making more complex enemies, like ones that shoot projectiles, or ones that teleport?
All the levels also feel very the same so it's really easy to get lost and confused. Try adding more designs for levels, and try to make all the areas not big rectangles, add more stuff in the middle, like grass.
I'd also seriously recommend against doing stuff like two player minigames until you get the main game finished, too.
Overall, the game's alright, the game needs a lot more polish. You've got a lot of potential!
The game is cute! The art is wonderful, the controls are responsive and I enjoyed it! I would love to see it expanded with more levels and mechanics. Nice work!
Congratulations for your game, it seems you have well followed Heartbeast tutorial and you were even able to go further with bosses and a chase part! (The chase was super hard, any tips to finish it?)
The game feels really juicy, I love the slash effect and killing the bats were super satisfying! Good job
This was a fun game - easy to navigate and fun to play. The art was great too. I'd try and make it a little clearer how it relates to the theme but excellent job (:
The controls are very responsive! The game feels a little difficult without any way to replenish health, though.
