Nicely done, great graphics, nice sound. Maybe lower the volume of the initial humming?
Incredible game! The atmosphere is great, the story is interesting and everything feels really focused to give out a certain feeling. It is impressive how much there is to the game and how well it is made. Great job!
What an atmosphere! The intro, the voice, the sounds, the music... everything plunges us into this heavy atmosphere, extremely well realized!
Congratulations on a job well done!
Top-notch mood.
I liked the visuals, the alien Cthulhu-esque looks of the body parts was very cool. Perhaps a bit more effects when we hit the parts to feel a bit more gross, instead of just disappearing. Just to match the descriptions the narrator give us. I just thought the playable screen on Itch was a bit too large, lost a bit of screen space until I managed to find the full screen button.
Music was brilliant. The moment I saw Moustronaut was involved I knew it would be amazing. Sound effects are also very fitting for the claustrophobic gross environment. The narrator is on point pretty much all the time. I'd just make a few lines when the player picks items to be less cheerful, more sullen.
The gameplay was pretty simple to understand. Some crevices are more challenging but it never feels frustrating or rage-inducing. Sometimes I wouldn't pick the oxygen tank because it collided visually but it's collider seemed to be a bit more at its top. Also regarding collisions, perhaps there could be a grace period or a cooldown for the submarine hitbox, because when you get stuck it's easy to hit walls multiple times and lose a lot of life. One thing that felt unfair though was the submarine slowly sinking while I was reading the logs, there was one time in which it hit the wall while the narrator spoke and it registered as damage.
I thought the upgrades were a neat addition, although it didn't feel very fitting to have the player being forced to die to upgrade the ship. At the end I got to the heart but I wasn't heavy enough, I shouldn't have to kill myself in order to advance.
Overall, a super cool and moody entry, congratulations!
very impressive. I would give you all 5stars only for the epic intro. good work.
This game is super atmospheric and the voice acting is great the art for the organs was great. One issue I encountered while playing was the voice-lines played out of order. But the story was amazing and the design was great. Overall very very very well done. :D
This game is impressive from start to finish. The atmosphere is the crowning jewel that elevated the experience. The voice acting was also very good. Probably one of the best games I've played in this game jam! Kudos to the whole team for such an incredible game :)
Really well done entry! Loved the story, atmosphere, and the voiceover! The gameplay was fun, and the art was really great!
Excellent work everyone!
Absolutely LOVE the atmosphere and all the little details that contribute to it. The voice over stuff is great, as are all the ambient sounds, and I REALLY adored the writing. I'm really genuinely curious about this world and what's going on at the center of it.
Also, I'm super appreciative of the fact that death doesn't mean a hard restart. Being able to restart and upgrade really made it easy for me to want to continue playing the game until I beat it!
:D
Great job. Cool graphics and atmosphere of the game)
This game is sooo good! Well done!
look good
Love the narrative of the game. The game is a bit loud and the gameplay a bit slow, but overall the game was fun!
Hey this is criminally underrated! :D Incredible voiceovers and very impressed the team made everything, phenomenal job. The art and narration in the beginning was spot on! If you polished the art style of the map a bit to give it an eerier feel (the green in the background is a little light/distracting), that would really add to it! I also noticed that the VO for the first pustule played again when encountering the second one. Overall awesome job! I would love if your team looked at our game too, we also did voiceover and the same type of collection system with VO :) Curious about your take!
o absolutely loved the voicovers, but everything else was incredible too really liked it. Only problem for me was that part of the screen was cut out and i couldnt see everything, but im pretty sure thats a problem on my side not on yours
Incredible game! I love the narrative, and the unsettling ambience, I especially love the part when the violins come in. Also, the voicelines for picking stuff up are really good lol. "You won't be needing that, will you?" is said with such savagery! My applause to the team that made this
This game is incredible ! The art and audio are stunning, and I really liked the ambience too ! Congratulations for this entry !
Really nice intro. I liked the sound-design very much.
Very nice game!
Great game <3
