A very relaxing experience! 💎
Things I enjoyed ✔️
Things I would like to possibly see with your title. 🤷♂️
Overall 📓
This was a enjoyable experience! I felt very relaxed while playing this game, I dont know if that was intentional but it happened haha. Great work on this title, your team should be very proud of this game!
Thanks for the review. We are adding a "go down" button -- but different asteroids will also have different gravity (the included asteroid would be a larger, later level, but we included it because the actual first level is very short (tutorial, but didn't have time to finish it)
I cant wait to see all of those features! Very excited to see it!
This is a lovely game, and the graphics are terrific! Great work.
Cute game
Little cure game, like the art style and crystals. Would like to see mechanics for my pet also.
Thanks for your comments! We have definite plans for juno. She will eventually help you gather crystals, help with the enemies, and guide you to the final crystals on a map, if you miss one
Movement feels good for the most part - flying downward button would be nice, natural descend is pretty slow.
Shooting also feels like it would be fun and satisfying - if it were someone to shoot at currently :D
Artstyle is very cute and nice-looking - no complaints here.
Overall pretty solid game core.
EDIT: grammar
Thanks for your comments. downthrust is coming, as well as enemies that are actually dangerous (and provide fuel for your jetpack when you zap 'em).
This is a really good prototype. The art work is amazing and I love the tiny details it has, like how the telescope actually reflects whats infront of it, even the player! or how the arm is actually animated depeding on which way you aim, and the tiny antenna on the helmet. The gun also works really cool, to bad there isn't much to shoot at. and the dog is very cute, obviously. Managed to collect all the gems, which took quite some time.
It lacks some things, like being able to lose & win, but you probably knew this already.
This is definetly a great prototype which hopefull one day will grow into and actuall full game, or even develop into a completly different game.
Great game. Keep it up♥
Thanks for the comments, and thanks for noticing the "little things" that we added! (My problem is that I get obsessed by the little things and the big picture of "making a complete game" gets sent by the wayside -- need to concentrate of making it a game, first, and then making those little tweaks).
What you have here is very well made. The control feels good, the laser feels awesome, and having a dog companion to help collect gems is very nice. The only real problem is that there's not much to do, collecting the gems is not very compelling when I'm carrying around a nice-feeling weapon and my trigger finger is starting to itch.
The physics on blasting around the snails is nice, and its interesting that the gems can be destroyed as well.
This could be something very awesome when finished.
Thanks for your comments. We've got a lot of plans for the game going forward. hopefully we'll be able to get it together in a couple of months.
The artwork and style is great, I love the mechanics and gameplay, it's a very cosy game. The controls can feel a bit floaty but it works with the style and theme. Really nice work
I really like the art style and the sounds included.
I find it a bit questionable that the right mouse button is the same as the space key, especially for people who aren't accustomed to playing with a keyboard and mouse, or for children. It would be better if, when a mouse button isn't needed, both buttons do the same thing.
It's pity that you couldn't work on it as you intended.
I think this is a very charming game! I love the inclusion of the mini-map, it definitely makes the gameplay more fluid. With the vastness of the cave, it's a big success! I really like the art style, too. It's very cute, and everything feels like it belongs in the same universe.
I'd like it if the music kept playing over the game - it can get a bit lonely to not have anything playing over the gameplay. Also, it'd be cool to have the option to drop down faster - maybe you could use the fuel to propel yourself downwards, or something like that. It'd make the player feel more in control, in my opinion.
thanks for your comments. We have music for the levels, but a not-enough-time-to-fix last minute bug with the background music system caused me to pull it. Being able to 'thrust' downward is also on the list of TODO'.
After the grading period is up, we will have an enhanced version with _so_many_ bugs fixed :-)
If you think that cave is big :-) But, juno will be much more helpful in the next version (right now she will pick up crystals for you, but she will eventually help you with the enemies and she will help you find the last few crystals if you get lost, or miss some!
Wow, the cohesive art style stands out. More of that, please.
It does feel unfinished, but this is a remarkable display of talent. Be proud; congrats to the developers.
It reminds me of a coloring book or old Windows point-and-click games.
My only critique is it may come off as too childish if not careful, and remember, always have a demographic in mind when putting in the long-term time on a project. Of course, if kids are the target demographic, then great job all around!
My favorite part was the giant dog head at the ship's top.
it's definitely unfinished. We're going for the "cozy" demographic :-)
If you're talking about when juno's head appears in the telescope as she jumps around on the surface? that's actually a bug (that may stay in :-) ... the telescope "lens" is a sphere (the only "3d" object in the game) which is texture mapped with a RenderTexture from its own camera -- but I forgot to clear the "Radar" layer from the LayerMask of the camera, so you're seeing the (rather large) radar/minimap icon of juno :-)
I love the art, I just wish I could maneuver a little more effectively around the level, also finding 100 gems seems like it'd take quite a bit of time.
... about as much time as defeating 10 roasters ;-) ;-)
got me there! :P
A cute little game. I really like the art style and animation.
Not sure what's your intended screen size, but the window seems to be cutting some edge off, you might want to check that.
yeah, the game was developed with 1080p resolution in mind, but I neglected to check other resolutions before I posted to itch.io. I have a fixed version, but in the spirit of the jam, I haven't uploaded it (there are other fixes in there, too). After the rating period, I'll upload a new version. Thanks for the review
Make a useful dog like to go get gems for you
But a nice drawing
cool game
I like the idea and the animations, also the dog follow well the main player. I miss to have enemies to kill. The gun last is so cool
Good start.
Good graphic style.
Very cute art and it's very clear the floatyness is intentional, I wonder if it's possible to fine tune it some though.
the floatiness made it pretty hard to control the character, but I really like the art and vibe.
I love the art so much, it's really cute !
Such a nice looking game! I love the cutscenes and particle effects!
