How does your game fit the theme?
The protagonist dives deeper through his dreams and ends up trapped in a VOID. The player needs to help him escape.
Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
All video and code were created during the jam including some of the art, with the exception of some assets which we also created. Some fonts were presets from Final Cut Pro. Music and SFX are from YouTube's Audio Library and are royalty and attribution free.

This is a really impressive game for one week. Not only did you make a game, but you made a short film! I did encounter a few bugs though:
At the second puzzle where you have to punch in a code to open a door, whenever I got it wrong it would lock and I'd have to restart the game to fix it. (for anyone stuck, to reset you have to press a number key again. Don't press any other key because I believe that is what locks it).
Sometimes, when I replay the game, the keys at the beginning that you have to click to start the game would reappear after fading out, and just stay there for the rest of the game unless you reload the page and restart.
At the running section, after my 3rd or 4th try, the UI broke. The icons and the line I have to keep in the green section disappeared, and parts of the UI were cropped out. It basically then just played through the running section and let me win. After that, the cursor was invisible for a period of time before fading in.
Still though, its pretty impressive what you were able to do in a week, so a few bugs aren't too big of a deal, and I believe the rules said you can fix game breaking bugs during the rating period.
Thank you so much! And thanks a lot for letting us know about the bugs you encountered! We will try and get a new update of the game up soon, and see if we can sort out these bugs :) Thanks a lot for the feedback!
This is the first in the jam with such and idea/game play, this is amazing!!! To be honest I am speechless I don't have the words to express how amazing this game is 😂 it's like watching a movie and playing at the same time 🤯! very impressive
Thank you very much for the lovely comment! Really glad you enjoyed playing it! :) Looking forward to having a go on your game soon!
Wow! Very cool idea for an interactive game)
Thank you so much! :) Looking forward to playing your game! :)
I love escape rooms, and this is such an original take on that. Your acting is good; I'll bet you had fun with some takes. The chase is a cool, well-integrated mechanic. Smart game!
Nice one! Thanks, yes it is very escape room-esque. I love them too- And yeah more bloopers in the next one, it's a lot of fun
Unlike anything I've seen on here - very Bandersnatch! Cool concept, only wish the puzzles were a bit more balanced in terms of difficulty and progression. But very creative :) And the film and audio quality are top notch! If you're into the idea of the liminal, you might like our game too!! :D
Oh Thankyou Flo! I will certainly try out your game! Any chance of a browser version coming soon? Otherwise I will dive deep when on a PC :)
Actually, we asked about adding a WebGL version (I see many people with several builds uploaded) but the mods said no, even though the build for web was finished 2hours+ before the deadline :/ We didn't upload it initially because we didn't have time to test that build, and we thought it was risky. Super appreciated if you'd take the time to download. Next time I'm going for Web, for sure!
Oh I hear you! I must be the only person on here whose a Mac man, but my bro has a PC so no problem! I will deffo play, you've had some great comments already!
Nice interactive film!
Thanks! Great studio name!
Thanks! Great studio name!
The ideas is really interesting and innovative! It reminds me of these old point-n-click quests ( I guess, the game was made with these games in mind). The puzzles are challenging sometimes, and the nightmare minigame was much harder than it should've been (fortunately, after few attempts it lagged and I was able to go on with the game). Overall, loved the game. 26/30
Ah the dreaded lag! Glad it was a challenge but you were able to beat it in the end! :)
Really nice game! First time try this genre and really impressive!
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it :)
My jaw is on the floor... Never.... NEVER... I would think to find a FMV game in a Jam of all places... Very well done, sent me back in time to oldschool games... Congratulations, it is the best game in the jam so far for me by a mile...
Dogveleoper! That is the Best studio name I've come across! We are still toying with our name... Wow amazing comment, you got me blushing over here...
Managed to play the game. For those getting fps issues, make sure you have hardware acceleration turned on in your browser. An FMV style game for a week long game jam is incredibly impressive, especially being as polished as this one is. As some others have said, I think the running sequence could definitely be replaced. It stand out as a little strange when compared with the other content you have in the game.
You should be proud.
Cheers for the tip! Will add it to the bio so more people know about hardware acceleration . You should be proud too! This was our first jam and I think everyone who takes part-- even if they don't complete it-- should be super proud :)
very impressive and innovative. I had fun, amazing job, I wish more people played it.
Thanks! We hope so too! Can't wait to play your game :)
wow this is like high level production! super fun and kept me interested with the puzzles and everything! will definitely look out for more of your stuff! =D
Same! I really enjoyed your game! Although now I assume your called Dale!
the game is really fun I love the storyline and the puzzles One thing it was hard with was when the monster was chasing you and you needed to kick the keyboard because is pulling you down but I managed to escape after many attempts.
Oh nice one! Yeah I found it hard too at first, It was even harder in the first build of the game! but I'm glad you managed to escape... Which ending did you get?
the ending I get is I give the keys and I get stuck in the nightmare thanks for the review of my game
wow, everything was shot at the highest level!
Oh wow Appreciate that! :)
that's such a cool idea!
really deserves more votes
Thank you! Your game awesome! Don't suppose you have a browser version?
oh, thanks! i wanted to make one, but my unreal engine version does not support html5 :(
maybe i'll try downgrading.
Ohh I get ya! No worries! Will play later on my bro's PC.
Honestly this was great never have I ever seen anything like this in a game jam puzzles incorporated into your real world environment you basically turned yourself into the player . Was honestly so unique if this doesn't win innovation then idk how not . Great game with some great little puzzles. I did have some problems with puzzles aka the door code one it wouldn't let me input had to restart and such and some video scenes or cutscenes over one another caused a minor problem where I had to back out of the puzzle and click the cross to start it but honestly this was great
Cheers dude!! After reading your comment I had another play through and encountered the same problem with the door code, but after refreshing and playing full screen that helped. Just had a blast on your game too!Really enjoyed it :)

This game was by far one of the most creative and intresting game in a game jam I have ever played. Puzzles were really well made. Y'all did a great job. When we first played, we thought that there was no way that someone can make this just in a week :)
For the bugs (they are not even important but just want to mention them):
1) As you mentioned, when starting if I instantly click a key, the foreground glitches
2) Sometimes the white door behind or on the left looks clickable but it's actually not? (it seems clickable but nothing happens, nothing indicates that they are locked)
3) The hint on the wall is sometimes not clickable even after the voiceover is finished
Thank you so much for the comment! :) Really glad you enjoyed playing it! We had a really fun time making it. And also thanks a lot for letting us know about the bugs too. We will try and get them ironed out in the next update. :)
Great work on your game! We really enjoyed playing it. great fun, and also great graphics too! Awesome work!
Realy nice and funny game, and the whole video/interaction is cool. Nice job!
Wicked! Glad you found it funny! Didn't wanna make it too scary! Will deffo play your game :)
This game was AWESOME! It has a great story, fun and challenging puzzles. and everything being filmed gives the game a really good style and feeling. And the bloopers at the end of the game where amazing.
I had a lot of fun playing this game.
Love it. Keep it up♥
Thanks so much! That's so kind :) You were so quick to finish it too! We literally uploaded it and you'd already completed it!! Which ending did you get!?
I didn't give the keys, and got the happy ending!
