How does your game fit the theme?
The player has to dive deeper and deeper in his dreams.
Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
Yes and for proof : it's not very very beautiful...

Interesting take on the theme!
Thanks.
Neat game! Controls could use some work to be more responsive + would add some player feedbacks in audio aspect. Level design was kinda confusing and I got lost all the time, but got through it!

Thank you for the feedback.
Very cool game, had fun playing it. Congrats on finishing it in time!
Thank you !
The game ramped up in difficulty quickly; the game design is solid, and the graphics are simple out of necessity. I don't know how this gameplay matches your explanation of the theme.
What does a little flame going through mazes of lava and dashing through metal have to do with "Diving Deeper"? You can't say it's because it's an allegory that means every platformer puzzle game ever means the same thing.
Overall, the game is a solid platformer foundation. The music got a bit repetitive.
Overall, you did a great job making a game that feels and plays solid.
Thank you for the feedback. The theme is especially present in the lore of the game: The player goes deeper and deeper into his dreams and the little flame represents his soul. The gameplay itself doesn't really reflect the theme other than the fact that the map was built to go more downward and deep.
The level design can get a little bit annoying and frustrating very fast because the controls do not feel very responsive, the player slides a lot and the air control is a little bit too much to feel correct.
But the art, concept and ideas are really nice, good job.
Thanks for that, we had a version of better movement without sliding but there was a rather annoying bug with slopes.
Currently I have a functional version of these movements added to a (catastrophic...) use of raycast adjusting the platforms, once the voting and game jam phase is finished it will take effect with the other modifications to make the game more playable and more complete.
Thank you for the feedback.
Hello! There played your game it was a lot of fun but I couldn't really get very far because I couldn't use the switcher for some reason. Great job though on the art and game mechanics.
Thanks, the levers become accessible when you collect the second dream catcher.
Thank you for the feedback.
I like getting new mechanic's as the game went on. A really interesting take on the theme.
thanks
Thank you.
Platforming feels nice and the game has a nice atmosphere. Unfortunately I got confused about what to do next pretty quickly, maybe some gentler introdcution into what do signs with different line segment intersections mean would be nice.
a little help will be provided in a version after game jam
Thank you for the feedback. It really needs to be improved.
Interesting concept.
thanks
Thanks
Nice platformer! It gives me the Fire and Water vibe, especially the cut corners of the platforms)
I like it!
fire and water? It was not wanted but thank you for this remark
Thank you for the feedback !
Fun concept, the protagonist model is very sweet, and overall just a nice vibe :)
Thanks !

Great first game. Liked the artstyle and the puzzles.
thanks for the feedback
Thank you so much !
Very cool take on the theme, and incredible first game!
I should mention I got stuck once I got the third upgrade (the arrow pointing up). I tried using the up arrow, w key, and page up, but it didn't seem to do anything. What is it supposed to do, and which key should I use?
Also, the checkpoints are really nice, but I'd recommend having them stand out in some way for future projects (for example, a green floor).
Thank you for your message, the unlocked key is Shift (for a dash to pass the grids). the checkpoints will have an appearance in a future version of the game (which we improve after the game jam), I personally thought of a cool mechanic idea and an animation related to the fact that the character looks like a will-o'-the-wisp and allowing to have a respawn which does not "break the 4th wall" but I still have to discuss it with my teammate.
That makes sense. I have no idea how I missed that yesterday. Looking forward to the post jam version!
As onilaf said, you had to press Shift to have a dash that allows you to pass the grids. With this mechanic in hand, a good part of the map becomes accessible.
I played a pretty good while, and only ended up with three of the treasures. Some of these switch puzzles are real brain benders. The actual movement and jumping mechanics felt very good, I was usually able to get around how I wanted. I know the game is themed around exploration, but ultimately I felt kind of directionless, and wandered around until I was out of puzzles that I could solve.
Overall, cool entry.
Thanks for the feedback, maybe in the next version we will try to find a way to give direction to those really lost
It is true that the indications given to the players should be improved. I think what blocked you must have been at the moment of the dash that you couldn't manage to use correctly.
