How does your game fit the theme?
Getting Deeper It is a game where you get deeper down to reach the goal. Which fits the theme of diving deeper. You can also swing with your grappling gun which is technically diving when you are falling :)

Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
No. Almost all the code and assets is made from scratch but the game music and sound effect are free commercially available assets.

The game is fun, I watched in a stream and played as well 😁 A mini map would be helpful, I felt the green box was deceiving I followed it and would fall to the bottom, then after watching the trailer I understood. where to go.

I think this game could benefit from a minimap of some sort or just a way to know where the exit is after the 1st level. It also is a little floaty, but once you get momentum it is quite fun. Nice work.

I really like the main mechanic of the game and think it has great potential. Personally I think it is a bit to slow, but thats just personal taste. Keep going!

Loved the use of a grappling gun to descend. Great use of the theme!

Nice game! Would add a little more direction level design wise with lighting and pointers:)

very inconsistent, i would grapple to a block and it wouldn’t grapple me there, it would just show the grapple attached, and the grapple also took like 3 seconds to reach where i was shooting it, the movement is pretty clunky, and there’s a lot of opportunities to get softlocked (i got stuck on a corner on the finish and couldn’t get out), but the graphics are pretty good to be honest

Nice grappling gun

I actually enjoyed playing your game! very satisfying spider webs haha. Good job working on the physics of the game!

Could be a bit more polished in terms of movement, and I felt like the first level was the hardest, but other than that it was a nice and simple game.

Could use some polish, but it's a really solid game! I love some of the mechanics and level design. Well done!

I loved the use of this unique mechanic from the perspective, the ragdoll legs is also a mice touch to add movement to the game. It could be quite comical if you added an entire ragdoll body attached to the run!

Developer

Thanks for the positive feedback! I decided not to make the whole thing a rag doll because it caused the body to block the grappling gun which I didn’t like

Cool game but I'm stuck at the bottom of the level and I can't fire my gun that is a little error I guess? overall fun to play the longest I played in this jam!

Developer

this is because there is a range of where you can fire (said in the tutorial level at the top). The circle around you is your range. R to restart level.

Very solid mechanic to base a game off of. Kinda wish it was easier to build momentum though.

The grappling feels really good, and the art fits in well, the game is a bit slow though

Submitted(+1)

Very fun! physics probably need to be sped up quite a bit though

Submitted(+1)

Very fun! Swinging mechanics are always fun for me but can be easy to mess up too. This was an awesome way to do it and made the controls very nice to use.

Really nice mechanic, could however use some polish on the art and game feel as certain areas felt confusing.
