Great game! Very well done! I had a great time playing it! All I can think on for improvement is just a short tutorial! But thats about it!

Wow, where do I even begin? This game is truly remarkable! The puzzles provided a substantial challenge, yet I managed to solve them all and even reached the alternative part of the game. It took me about an hour to complete, which was time well spent. The art style is captivating, and the story is thoroughly engaging. It's evident that you have a talent for creating puzzle games. While some of the mechanics felt a bit clunky and could benefit from some polishing, that's a minor concern in an otherwise fantastic game. Given more development time, I believe this game could have reached even greater heights. ^^
This looks like a really cool concept, and it's awesome that you've detailed the story behind the entire family, but I can't seem to open the second note which I assume has more instructions on how to actually play the game.
The concept was cool but it was clear that the time constraints got to you. It took a really long time to complete because the runes had to be drawn from a specific starting point, and the last one in particular was really confusing. Also the books were hard to put back. I liked the writing and atmosphere tho, and with some fixes and polish it could be a really cool game.
Thank you for your feedback ! Yeah, there is a lot of polish left to be done, the books hitboxes and and the clarity of the first clues are some of our priorities.
And actually, all runes should be drawable from the two possible starting points. Maybe the problem you encountered is that missed/dodged a node while drawing the shape. This is something we also want to correct in the near future
really great game but it was a little bit different to figuring out how it works but after that i learned how the game works maybe adding some simple hints if the player stuck in the same level could be so kind
I really liked the idea, it was difficult to figure out what to do though. After clicking around with the book stuck on the table I eventually did figure out how to turn the pages and return the book back to the shelf. I think there just needs to be some UI there that shows where to click so that I don't think there is a bug or something when clicking on the wrong spot doesn't work. I ran out of time after reading all the books, but will for sure come back to see if I can get the potion right.
Great job with the theming and artwork though, really fun idea that feels like part of "Mist" or a similar game.
Hey, I meant to let you know I went back and tried out your game again when I had some more time. All I can say is Cheese Cheese Cheese, haha. Just kidding, I absolutely loved it. The puzzles were so clever and I loved trying to figure out what colors to use with each rune. So well thought out and executed. I read through the instructions on your itch page too, so that's my bad for not reading it the first time, I still think it could use some UI on the spots that can be grabbed on the books, might just help navigate the screen space a little bit.
It seems potential, but little bit not obvious what i need to do without direct external guides. Would like to see at least first movements that i need to do inside game.
Hi! Thanks you so much for your meaningful feedback ! We are aware of the numerous design inaccuracies and other oversights, and plan to correct them as soon as the rating phase is finished.
Juste for your interest, there is in fact an external guide in the description, in case you want to try the game again !
I love these type of games! The writing style and the books, as well as the illustrations inside were very neat. Props to you if you made those! I think some background music, victorian era style, could really add some flavour to the game. If the quality of the tinctures also matched the quality of the books and writing inside, then it would also really add to the immersive feeling. Agree that a tutorial is needed, and for me the trickiest was that putting a book back was quite hard in terms of controls. Overall, nice concept!!
Concept is great . Some kind of tutorial is needed. Background music will increase intensity of the game.
Very interesting game that really gets you thinking, good job! Also, supplying some optional hints and solution via Google Drive was a nice idea!
Scrolling through the books felt great but I had a lot of trouble putting them back on the shelf each time, seems like their grab collision is a bit bugged.
Very cool game and nice idea!
Please also rate my game thanks :)
I got lost in the game for solid 10 minutes and will for sure come back to it later. Loved the writing, loved the concept, found controls a little bit difficilt (like I couldn't put aside a book from the first try), but enjoyed figuring out the puzzles anyway.
If you also enjoy word-based investigation games, you can check out mine :)
I actually finished the game, got both endings. Had to use the guide only once, because got lost at the final substance for the alternative path. But after completing the game, I feel satisfaction.
I kind of got lost on the puzzles of the game but then again I am not very good at those, however the audio was very fun and was a interesting take on the theme!
