How does your game fit the theme?
You play as a scuba-diver, where you dive into the ocean and try to go as deep as you can while dodging obstacles in the way.

Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
I wrote pretty much all the code on my own, along with all of the art, animations, and audio (using Chiptone).

Also, like in 2023.1, I asked ChatGPT for this game's title.

good design and good combination of game elements. movement a bit clunky imo

That was a NICE entry. The combination of the bar-minigame-mechanic and the diving was realy cool in my opinion. Clever idea. :)

Score was 13,626. I found the left and right movement a bit too floaty, I'm sure it was intentional, but it made changing direction a bit rough feeling, and there were a few times where the rocks formed a structure where it ended up being impossible to not take damage, but I guess there isn't much that can be done about that when they are random. Overall, good job.

Love this game! Its a little too easy though because the slider thing is too easy to time. Maybe make it faster as time goes on or make it randomized more?

thanks for playing :)

the slider already gets slightly faster every time you successfully hit it. its at around the 40-50 mark where youll start noticing the pick-up in speed

this game needs some more polish and better player movement then it we be a top contender!

Fun game! my final score was 12987. The only real issues I have is that the obstacles are really uninfluential and that moving left and right feels really floaty. Other than that, I have no issues! I love the 3D models poking out of the back for the obstacles, it looks really nice! (also, correct me if i'm wrong, but is the shooting collectible a 3D sprite that gets rotated? either way it looks beautiful!)

Nice game, it was interesting how you implemented the 2D with the 3D graphics. Good Job

Simple, colorful and intuitive.... With a little bit more of polish, I can see this on something like a phone playstore... feels like the type of game you'd pull out and burn a couple minutes while , like, waiting on a queue

I love the combination of 2D and 3D graphics

Really Cool diving minigame! the only way i can think to improve is if the green bar would move or increase or decrease just to make it a little harder and interesting. Otherwise this is a great entry!

Fun little game to play. Only the background sound was a little bit annoying after a while. Got used to the controls after a while. Decent game!

The game looks amazing, I liked the begin dive animation the most! The gameplay was a bit repetitive. The sound effects were fun.

Amazing mix of 2d and 3d art.

Oh my, as the diver goes down, the feel of the game escalates in such a satisfying way. Would refine the controls a bit, maybe move around the click target.. but overall this game has a lot of potential! Well done!
Please do check out our game too.

Great pixel art.

I liked the idea of having to time your mouse input to get a boost, but you could have made the timing shorter upon succession and have it move around. Overall a great submission!

Developer

Thanks :)

I already have it so that the timing needle gets a bit faster every time you boost. try to get to like 40-50 boosts to see it in action
