The voice acting was fantastic and really gave life to the characters in this narrative. Not to mention the art direction, which I found pretty unique and fitting for this jam. Gameplay got a bit repetitive and tiresome after a while but the story kept me going.

excellent!  love the voice acting and unique gameplay.    it took me a bit to figure out that using sonar ate power, so I was really pinging like crazy, when I got the first "look for a beacon" message I was very far away from it.  Maybe a "disposable" beacon near the start just to keep idiots from giving up? :-)  Amazing job for 1 week!

Developer

Thank you for the update. The "initial beacon" is a good idea. We'll discuss using it in a future update.

The voice acting and style was amazing - it's reminiscent of Firewatch by Campo Santo/Panic for me. The idea is also really cool, and I'm super impressed this was made in a one-week period. The narrative was gripping too, I really wanted to know the end result but unfortunately it was a little too difficult for me and my skills. My only recommendation would be to balance the gameplay by offering some guidance (either after a certain amount of time has passed without finding a beacon, or after a certain number of beacons are collected). After my 6th beacon I started feeling a little directionless and for me personally I would've required an in-game pointer. Overall, astounding!!

Excellent feedback. On our next update we're releasing a way to save your progress so that the next time you start the game you can start at the beacon you left off at. This was made by a father and son team and we had a blast!

That's very cool, you can definitely tell the vision is unified! Congrats :)

Good game! Voice acting and narrative is exceptionally good for a game jam game :)

The game idea was really cool. It took me sometime to understand how to play the game. And the voice was really good.

The voice acting was sick, really good and added to the overall mystery feel.

That was a great game! I didn't finish it but I managed to get 6 beacons. The voice acting was perfect and the narrative was on point. Congrats!

Awesome game! (I'm biased, my son made it!)

We were sent a screenshot of the first person to beat the game! It is difficult, but it is beatable!

After realizing it's 2D and not 3D first-person haha, I had fun.

I really like the idea, I just never managed to find the 2nd beacon, unfortunately.
