Fun. Would have liked to hold down the fire button.

This is a fun little 'clicker' game that I found quite engaging. It reminds me of clicker games, as you gather money from those yellow stones. I particularly enjoyed the sound design of the gun; it's a neat touch that the volume changes depending on whether you're shooting above water or beneath it. The last two enemy types presented a significant challenge, as I had to rapidly click my left mouse button to fend them off. However, I felt that the flashlight didn't serve a significant purpose in the game. It would have been more interesting if it had a more distinct role, perhaps darkening as you dive deeper, adding to the challenge. Aside from that, it's an enjoyable game! :)
Hi, would it be ok if I show your game in a recap video for this jam?
Nice work! I love the rogue-like vibe and controls feel awesome. I just think that going up all the way to buy upgrades was a little frustrating.
Could you try our game too? It's a 2d platformer, and it was our second game jam and one of our first games so far! Your feedback would be really appreciated!
Awesome work! I really look forward to your future in game development :D
I am 37 years old, and when I see what you have made with just 13, I am out of my mind. Your game is so good, so well optimized, so profesionaly done, that I really have no words. You have amazing future if you keep on working. I will rate this game all 5 stars.
This was a really good game! The only thing I didn't like about it was having to go all the way up to upgrade, it got tedious when you were in the lower levels. Otherwise the upgrade mechanics were cool, the variation of the enemies was a nice touch, and the game itself looked really pretty. Great job!
Fun game, looks really good with the lightning in 2D. Upgrade system is also nice, but feels a bit unbalanced near the end. I maxed out the gun, but the purple enemies were still just huge damage sponges. They were also able to damage me while not even touching me yet. It takes a lot of time to get all the way back to the surface to upgrade, which is not necesarily a problem, but it would be nice if you also restore some health or something or buy health packs for less money then a upgrade (like 50 bucks). I think then the game would be a bit more balanced and fun all the way until the bottem!
I like it! It's simple, but at the same time really-really fun! Nice work!
This is a very fun game. Great idea! I did not have enough music in the background, the sound of shots is very tiring.
Very well made game. I especially liked the lightning and the audio, the atmosphere just felt like we were in a cave. The shop system to go deeper actually makes it fit the theme a lot (we made a very similar kind of game). I liked it a lot but maybe you can add a cooldown for the bullets because I can grind more than 100 from a gold mine in like 5 seconds if I gitter click. Or an automatic shooting could be nice.
Neat Submission.
Lighting is very well implemented. Gives the game a nice mood, and really enhances the simple shapes-based art style chosen. The glowing gold that acts as another source of income is a nice touch.
Sound design in excellent. Dripping effect in the background is subtle, but really adds to the feel of the game. Pistol sound is nice too, nice that it has a slight echo.
For improvements, definitely need automatic fire. My finger hurts, and the lack of autofire was ultimately what stopped me from playing further. A way to get back to the surface faster would be appretiated too.
Well done!
