How does your game fit the theme?
There is a door at the end of the level that you spend most of the game looking for a key to the door.

Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
I made everything except for the music

Good game, good use of lighting, it's dark but you can see enough to get around. I also appreciate that you took the time to make checkpoints. That being said I think there was an error with the last checkpoint, were when I respawned it looked like I had the key but, I didn't. Good luck with your future projects.

Neat idea! Seems like the monster will just go after you if you're not crouching, so there's never a reason to not crouch. Could also use some extra sprites for while you're crouched

Good job on your submission!

i love the sound design!! even witht he crouching it was difficult to avoid the mionster

I think a sound effect when the monster got you would go a long way. I had a hard time avoiding him and used the diagonal movement to try and run faster. It was difficult for me to tell if crouching helped or not.

Really cool idea though!

Neat game idea, a little difficult to understand when the monster was going to run after me. I ended up using a few bugs with the pathfinding to progress, like getting it stuck on corners.

The heartbeat is really scary, but a jumpscare would've gone a long way when the monster actually catches you.

Nice atmosphere and audio although it's a bit too dark and imo making it a tiny bit brighter wouldn't hurt. Also the popups were a bit annoying and don't fit well with the visuals.
