Nice game! I enjoyed the dialogue and how there were different dialogue options. I like the pixel art and the retro adventure game feel.
The ending I found felt abrupt. After I gave the rat the ring, then gave the guy the key, a couple lines of dialogue later, the game ends rather suddenly.
Does the game have multiple endings? I never did figure out what to do with the fruit or the man by the flags. I managed to get the man's attention with barking, but I didn't know what to do after that. I feel like there's something more to do in that section that I haven't figured out yet.
I think it would help make the movement less tedious if you could just hold the button to move rather than repeatedly tapping.
Overall, a really interesting game. I feel like there might still be more to discover and I enjoyed the writing. Nice job!
There are not exactly multiple endings and everything in the game are clues (though some are pretty obscure) to complete the game story.
There is one secret ending.
Thanks for the review!! (●’◡’●)
Movement aside, this was a really cool game. I liked the open world aspect of it and that your dialogue choices actually had impact in the game (and was usually quite funny!) The graphics itself were perfect for a game like this and it gave me nostalgia for the old pixel adventure games. You have a knack for storytelling, it's difficult to move a game along based on dialogue alone. Well done.
Thanks!! (●’◡’●)
This game felt weird to start but came out pretty neat and I like it after finishing this demo.
I think the demo turned out quite nicely, you should think about making it a full release it has potential! I'd love for you to check out my game too if you have the time :D
I was impressed by the word done in the dialogues: the text is very readable. I love that few words could be animated! Congrats!
Thanks!! (●’◡’●)
Mostly thanks to the awesome Godot community that helped me use some pretty awesome dialogue plugins that made my life soo much easier.
Cool to see a game with some lore and something like open world. Pretty good but I similarly to other people hated movement. I had to press moement keys countless time to move by little
Yeaah! (/ω\)
I need to fix movement but I can’t update it until the jam ends.
so yea its a pretty good game i hate the movement maybe make it if i just press the button it moves automatically, the dialogue is funny, idk why there is a choose gender in the biggening, and a music would have enhanced the experience a little bit
Indeed! Music could be a big upgrade
Liked this game a lot. Looks really cool, and the rat dialogue was really funny heheheh.
Just a little bit of banter hehe
The graphics and the audio are nice! I love that I can make the dog immortal :) I was a bit lost on what I needed to do to complete the game, but I had fun so far! Thanks for making it ^^
Mostly thanks to Kenney for the assets!! It was a funny story to write :3
really cool art style! great jam submission!
Mostly thanks to Kenney!!
Love the graphics and the gameplay! Also dogs are always a +1000.
We love the doggies :D
I like the graphics, and the fact that there is lore in the game. One suggestion I have is that the movement should work if you hold the key down so you don’t have to spam the keys.
Great game though!
Yeah I agree, holding down to move would be nice. Overall, great game!
I had a problem with it were a player could accidentaly activate a dialogue more than one time when holding it down. But I’ll try to make it work on an update!
Awh I love the idea ! Great game !
Good job mate! Graphics and sound are very nice!
