How does your game fit the theme?
When someone knocks on your door and you (a teenager) are alone in your home, you wonder "Who might it be?". Who is behind the door knocking? what did he want? A sense of uncertainty of who or what is behind the door fit the theme perfectly!

Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
I (Celty) write all the code from scratch. My teammates Morgane & Phoenix draw the art from scratch. And for the music, my teammate NeonLasagna made it himself too!

Lol red eye plumber! Good one!

Great game! But it gets boring while waiting for something to happen.

Great concept and take on the theme! I wish there was a bit more to do while you wait for people to come to the door, I may have opened the door to the killer at one point because I was bored 😅but otherwise fun!

Love the concept! Definitely has some potential to be further developed into a full game. I did run into a few issues, like I'm not sure how to make the killer go away or determine if the person behind the door is actually the killer. For one of my runs, the plumber wasn't seen yet but the first plumber turned out to be the killer, not sure if that was intentional or not or if there's something I'm missing that I can do to check for the actual plumber. Overall, it was really nice game with great visuals and audio. Well done! :)

Really nice and neat game! Love it! Especially the credits, haha

The art and sound design is awesome! Really chill game the only thing I'd recommend is being able to turn down the audio as it was a bit loud. Great work on this jam :D

Interesting concept. I didn't fall for the second plumber and open the door, but nothing happens again unless I do. Could use something to do between visitors. Otherwise it looks and feels well made, great job!

Great game but I disliked having to just wait for people to knock on the door.

I enjoyed this game quite a bit. The kid looks straight out of stranger things! I died a few times, but kept restarting again. It took me a while to realize I could switch what I could do with the Q key. Overall a great game!

I know this type of game haha. Really like the graphics! But I waited till 21:06 and the killer was still at the door

Submitted

Really nice looking game, nice job!

Really good game, but it's not clear how to make the killer go away sometimes and that freezes the progression :(.

I shouldn't have opened the door to strangers :(. Nice art design and concept. Great job!

Joni just refuses to leave.. 😄 It's a cool concept, art and music was also great, with some extra mechanics and rooms it could be a fun Home Alone themed game!

This was a really novel idea for a game. The visuals and audio are great, especially the soundtrack. The lighting effects are nice, too.

A two-button input or a confirmation requirement for opening the door might be a good idea. I kept accidentally hitting F and opening the door, maybe because I would walk away and the prompt would go back to Open instead of staying on Talk.

I would’ve liked to interrogate each visitor with a few questions. That would have been more engaging than just reading one or two lines of dialogue. Even just the option to tell the murderer to get lost or something like that would’ve been fun.

The gameplay is mostly waiting. It would be great to have some other activity in between visitors. The waiting is especially painful when you die and have to replay it.

Overall, a cool idea and a good effort! Congrats to the team!

I enjoyed the art of the game, but I feel like it was bugged, since I had been waiting for about 10 real minutes for the last person to arrive, but the killer outside refused to leave (like bro… it’s like 12 in the morning you’ve been there for like 16 hours)

but overall very neato game, I enjoyed it

pretty enjoyable, although it does feel somewhat empty. my suggestions are maybe add some more interactions throughout the house, and also maybe add some more observation mechanics with not-so-obvious clues so you really have to observe the person outside. regardless, pretty good game.
Edit: i also noticed you can't really do anything once there is a murderer at the door, is that supposed to happen?

Entertaining and fun, this game offers a delightful blend of impressive visuals and captivating audio. The gameplay is involving, though a bit more direction could heighten the overall experience. The art is very cool and aesthetic very good job. It would be cool if you can rate my game too.
