How does your game fit the theme?
The calm before the storm is setting up troops and slowly fighting off the aliens, but the storm is as the game goes on, it gets harder and harder until you get over ran by them.

Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
Code wise yes, this was my first "completed" project and itch.io project.

Sound affects were from ShapeForms "Sci-Fi Weapons Cyberpunk Arsenal"

My art was from the Synty space art packs.

Cool take on tower defense games! Since the "towers" were people though, I would've liked to move them. It was also pretty difficult to discern between different units, would've liked to see their range, damage, firerate and health points.

An okay "tower defense" game, would've been better if players could zoom or move the camera for more cinematic views, cause the top-down view was really zoomed out for me.

Also some progression mechanics are sorely needed. Otherwise, a pretty solid entry for a first completed project, hope to see more from you.

I just made a critical mass of riflemen and then they couldn't do anything to combat it. Then I could test the other units. I think after a while the sound of the guns was actually a bit annoying since it got loud with so many bullets on the screen. Fun game idea. I think it needed a little more direction beyond just waves of enemies.

The visuals and animations were amazing!! The shooting sounds were very satisfying, I think I did feel like I didn't quite understand how well my units were doing until it was too late, maybe a health bar on the units could help. Also maybe some music playing could help set the tone of when it was calm vs when it was more intense, but otherwise it was great!! Awesome job!

this game could really use some additional decision-making opportunities. at any given point in the game there's only really one unit you need to place, riflemen early game, snipers mid, and gunners late, so there's not really much to do decision wise. other than that, a solid first project

Very easy to get into this game, after a minute I could understand how to use the controls and build menu. I died pretty quickly but I think it was because I suck at strategically placing my people!

Enjoyed playing this, I think with a little bit of visual feedback and performance fixes, this could turn out to be a great game!

Great concept! I really enjoyed the strategic depth of placing units, but I think the game could benefit from more visual feedback during battles—maybe health bars or clearer indicators when units are under attack. I also found myself wanting a break between waves to regroup and plan my next moves. The art style is fantastic, but the performance lagged a bit once too many units were on screen. Overall, solid work for a jam game! Looking forward to seeing more updates!

It’s nice, but I feel like it’s close to being a great. If we could have some stats about our units, and get a calm moment between each wave, maybe info about the enemies too, and a better feedback when something is being attacked/killed. I reached quite far on my second run, seeing some giants enemies, but my troops just kept falling and I couldn’t identify what I was lacking: defense, attack, a specific type of unit…. Good job nonetheless, I just think more readability would allow the player to actually understand what he does and plan then :p

Great game loved it man , just one thing , the game started being a lot laggy when the enemies increased.
