How does your game fit the theme?
The calm before the storm is setting up troops and slowly fighting off the aliens, but the storm is as the game goes on, it gets harder and harder until you get over ran by them.

Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
Code wise yes, this was my first "completed" project and itch.io project.

Sound affects were from ShapeForms "Sci-Fi Weapons Cyberpunk Arsenal"

My art was from the Synty space art packs.

Cute. Needs a counter or timer for rounds though! Well done overall though.

Really liked this tower defense ^^

The theme is well incorporated, you can fell the calmness at the begining and before you realise it you find yourself outnumbered by the aliens.

The visuals and sfx go hand in hand. I’d love some music on top of that !

Cool game nice graphics, tho I would have loved to see the shooters and enemies much closer in action!

I missed some good music too but the sounds where perfect on spot. I made it to where big enemies spawned I hope that was far.

Else the game is very difficult to get the gunner haha, I never got that much. Overall cool game

It was a fun defense game

I held out for about 10 minutes and lost. The difficulty level was difficult but it was fun

I wish I could zoom in and get a closer look at the unit and the battle

Nice game, I feel like I was always in the storm, would be nice to have waves of enemies to give time to set up.

Well done!

Cool game while it lasted. I was trying to save up for the best troops and put down rifleman very rarely, and I ended up dying pretty fast. Whereas another person in the comments said that they spammed only rifleman and it was too easy. So maybe some rebalancing would be good. Still, polished and fun game for sure

Super chill unit placing game. Love the camera angle of the battlefield focused on the ship, super cinematic.

Fun game! Quite addictive too... lovely art style, I think it works great for this game.

Really enjoyed a few runs of this! Would have loved a timer or score to see how well I did after each run. The units mostly balanced so I found myself panicking to replace my shields over and over. Each shot having its own audio effect became quite repetitive when you have hundreds of units shooting at the same time in rhythm, but didn't detract from the gameplay at all. Nice work!

Fun game! Although it could use a troop limit of some kind, I was raking in points so fast I could basically just keep spamming riflemen infinitely, there was so many of them lol. The art looked really good! Solid submission!

Cool

Cool graphics but I wish I could have zoomed in and moved the camera around. Simple concept but yeah Tower Defense for sure fits the Calm Before the Storm theme.

Had fun spamming about 100 snipers. Although did start to lag a little towards the end when there were probably about 100-200 units on the screen. Loved the art style but do agree the enemies are a little hard to spot at first.

Well done ! I do wish the ennemies also had a circle beneath them to be able to see them more in the grass but the game feels nice ! Some background music would also have been a good addition for the atmosphere.
I felt so powerful when i bought my first gunner and it lasted a while until i got a breach in my defense and got swarmed from everywhere :')
Good job and congrats on completing your project !

Thanks for the feedback and I appreciate you taking the time to play my game!

It was pretty fun! Wish there was an opportunity to move around camera and zoom in, because I wanted to look at the gunfight closely as it feels and sounds good

Hee-ho. Nice game, but have performance issues (i9 - 50%, 2070 RTX - 65%)

Thanks for the feedback, i didnt have the chance to test on different systems so this feedback helps a lot!

pretty fun game play loop even if it's not a lot and I like the artstyle, would be nice to have a score counter

Really nice art-style and also nice game concept of tower defense! I think if you add enemy hp bars just for players to understand how many shots it would take using what build item would be nice to add, but this was really nice work!

Thanks for the feedback and for playing my game!

Its a pretty decent concept. I think the game play while minimalistic, has some addictive quality to it as I found my self trying to get farther each play through. I think it would benefit with a scoring system to show how long you have lasted.

Thanks for the feedback and for giving my game a try. I very much appreciate it!
