The graphics and the sound added to the horror holy shoot. Managed to get startled when I died in the third level despite the lack of a jumpscare. Maybe being booted to the title screen is the jumpscare lol
Really cool game, the visuals paired with the audio created a great atmosphere to the game really enjoyed it great job!
Cool style, nice job!
Hee-ho. Super cool vibe and visual
Very nice graphics and art generally! I enjoyed it, thank you
I loved it
This game has a really charming art style! Probably one of the only games in the jam that has genuinely intimidated me, so well done!
The ambience of this game is incredible, it really kept me on edge the whole time and had me gripped. The audio design is absolutely amazing and is probably the part of this game that stands out the most to me (the rest of the game is also amazing). This is a great game and I really enjoyed it! Good job!
pretty cool game ദ്ദി(˵ •̀ ᴗ - ˵ ) ✧
Well played with light. The environment is a bit too redundant, but this can be useful to lost player. SFX are good too.
Well done.
Good atmosphere. The art and sound really made this one pop.
really nice graphics! loved the ambient
Well done, a great addition to the jam. I did have to wander around in the dark a few times but got the hang of it eventually!
Very good atmosphere! Game was easy to learn, though I got stuck at buying the items part, did not have enough coins to purchase items, did not get pass that part, but the parts that I played were good!
Great atmosphere! I start playing without reading the description of the game and I found it really intuitive, which is very positive! The problem is that I escaped the dungeon without even knowing thee was an "enemie" or something to be scared of!
When the game returned to the start screen I was like "what happened?!". Then, reading the description I understood what the game was about. Maybe you have to find a way to let people understand that there is something that wants to kill them, otherways the game seems to be a little bit "flat" which it actually isn't!
Maybe you can add an initial cutscene where you see a shadow or something similar and then another one in which you can see that being the dark is something not good!
I completed the game just because I interacted with all the candles, if you add a "puzzle game" twist to this game, it can be really more complete than now!
Good one!
Really cool game! I love the ability to view the layout before you start the level. The visuals are really well done, though I personally found the flashing images a little distracting. I really enjoyed this game though, amazing job!
Great atmosphere! My first game jam too! Good Luck!
I love the atmosphere! Really well done with the lights and audio. The gameplay is a kinda frustrating though. If you end up without a light, all you can do is press directional buttons and hope you get somewhere. Also, it would be preferable if you could restart at the start of the level if you die.
Thank you for the feedback !
We were aiming to make it quite punishing to make sure the player uses light sources carefully. We were hoping to incentivize the player to explore the floor thoroughly first before the lights go out (the player could explore most of the floor for all levels, except the first one with the monster). During playtesting we also had the same thought as you but didn't have the time for further improvements sadly !
Scary! Scary! Scary! Jumpscares got me. Nice job, good art, good sound effects.
Thank you for playing the game, we worked very hard to get the lights and sound effects just right!
Hello ! This is our first game jam ever (and first time using Godot !)
We all had a lot of fun and had very little sleep collectively, since the first few days was for getting familiar with Godot.
We hope you find it cool !
