How does your game fit the theme?
You have to "calm" the crowd "before" they "the storm" the concert.

Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
Yes I did. (Except for the fonts, which were taken from dafont.com)

The game design was awesome.  Very easily understood the objective and it was fun keeping those triangles outta my club.

simple but really effective and a lot of fun

This is a great fit for the theme. Loved the lose screen.

Developer

Thanks so much! I was toying around with some of the variables, accidentally created a massive storm, and realized it might make for a good lose screen. I'm glad it worked.

Not bad.

Pretty fun for how simple it is!

Pro tip: Don't hit the VIPs everyone goes berserk.

Nice small little game, I liked hitting things with the bat and how the bat affected the crowd that's what made it fun.

I enjoyed this game, it pulled off the Atari  aesthetic well, including the chip synth sounds. I can appreciate the "programmer art"  of simple shapes as someone who also can't draw. Easy to just pick up and play. Very nostalgic! Good job!

Developer

Thanks so much! I'm glad I was able to nail the aesthetic, since the Atari was several decades before I was born.

This is a cool entry xD That one guy stuck to the VIP got me :c I honestly have no feedback to give except for the difficulty increasing really fast. I love how simple the game is and easy to understand in seconds. Good job and well done on making this game by yourself!

Also, love the studio name xD

Developer

Glad you enjoyed it! I'd definitely tweak the difficulty curve in a future update.

Yoo a very cool game!! I really like the mechanic of "calming" the crowd by slamming them with a baton. And the game over screen is very funny.

Ofc it wouldn't hurt to have some music, or more sound effects, but it's nice and simple. And I like it.

I can't draw studios is awesome btw, I would keep this name, it's amazing.

This is why i love game jams. You aways encouter something simple yet creative. The logo "i can't draw" hahaha, very good. Don't call me old but i had an atari and i would be very addicted to this game if it was an atari one. A little balance on the difficulty would help, congratulations!

Thank you so much! I was definitely inspired by classic arcade and Atari games with this one. Ironically enough, that "icantdraw Studios" logo was the asset I put the most work into; I wanted it to look perfectly terrible. Regarding balance, I definitely could have used more playtesting (or honestly any playtesting at all). Thanks again for the feedback!

Simple and fun game :)
Proof that you don't have to hold yourself back from your artistic abillities

Fun and simple game!

The graphics feel good. Even though they are just simple shapes. The game is well polished and fun.

One problem I found is that the VIP guests get in the way, and are impossible to deal with in some cases. One possible solution to this would be to be able to hold the Z key to ping pong between up and down, and when let go. The bat would fling the guests that way. This would give you much more control.

A very well rounded entry. Well done!

Developer

I'm glad my graphics worked, I was worried they'd be too simple. The VIP guests blocking normal guests is definitely a problem, and I'll try your solution out. Thank you for the feedback!
