How does your game fit the theme?
Before the storm while the weather is clear, Alkaline is calm and controllable. When the storm comes, he freaks out!

Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
All code and assets were made from scratch. The music was taken from CC0 licensed OpenGameArt posts.

Really neat platformer! The core concept is solid, and I love the theme of losing control during storms—it's a perfect fit. The art style and sound design are fantastic too! However, I experienced some issues with inconsistent jump heights, which affected the flow. Overall, great work! Looking forward to more updates!

also had some issues with the jump height, but the core concept is really solid. the idea of losing control of the robot during the storms is really cool and fits the theme perfectly. artstyle and sounds are also A+. well done!

Great little addition however had a lot of trouble with the inconsistent jumping. The art and music were well done :)

Neat game.

The good:

  • Nice robot animations (especially like the malfunctioning one)
  • The transition from day to night/storm is nice.
  • Good SFX and music.
  • Lots of variety in platforming elements.
  • Platforming elements used in a bunch of different ways to provide unique challenges.
  • Movement feels responsive.

The bad:

  • Jump height seems inconsistent. On the third screen where you're hopping between the falling blocks sometimes Alkaline clears the blocks easily, sometimes he gets caught on the edge, and sometimes he doesn't even make it halfway up the next block. This is holding down the spacebar for the duration of the whole jump.
  • Getting caught on the edge of a platform locks Alkaline in place, requiring a respawn.
  • The falling blocks don't reset so you have to respawn and start from the beginning of the level if you don't manage to do it all in one go. Very frustrating in the second screen where the first half of the level is pretty easy, but it's very easy to accidentally tap the first falling block too early when you're jumping up to the roof below it.

Overall, a great effort, just needs a bit more polish :)

The movement and controls feel really clean and intuitive.  It was really easy to pick up and understand. The only change I'd make would be to be able to skip the intro cinematic with the command terminal. The art and music were my favourite parts, you guys have great taste. A lot of love clearly went into this game :)
