Cool game with great atmosphere! Reminded me a lot some of old point-and-clicks, that was fun!

How does your game fit the theme?
The game has a serial killer who is called 'The Storm' and you are a detective. The killer taunts you with letters as he keeps comitting crimes, and your goal is to stay calm and investigate further without throwing a verdict too fast. You can also interpret his warnings before comitting crimes as a type of "calm before the storm".
Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
All the code is from scratch. Art assets are done with AI generation or royalty free stock images. Story is combination of AI for inspiration and my own writing.

I think the documents could have bigger buttons for left right interaction. I don't mind manually adding the numbers, but sometimes it was a bit annoying to go back to the right document, maybe have the numbers writen next to the keypad? Also I think the new murders had missing crime scenes, it would be cool to visit them too. Overall it was nice
I really loved the atmosphere of this game, especially how the graphics and sound design reminded me of classic Resident Evil. The tension was built up perfectly. The only thing I struggled with was manually dialing numbers from memory—it would have been great to call people directly from the contact sheet. Overall, it was an enjoyable experience!
I loved the vibe at the start, the graphics and especially the sound reminded me of old school Resident Evil. I would have loved if I could call people directly from the contacts sheet, because my memory sucks but other than that I really enjoyed playing this.
I like a good detective story! The atmosphere is very good. It's weird I was only allowed to visit the first 2 crime scenes. I don't think I got enough clues to point at the killer though. I first guessed the who seemed most likely to me (Norman), then the guy I was pretty sure was getting framed (Jake) and finally the actual killer.
I think you did a great job with the atmosphere but I agree with the general consensus of not being fan of the AI stuff. There are a bunch of games using quite "scuffed" self made art but it bring way more personality.
The ambience was great, but I'm not a fan of using AI generated stuff. Felt polished though.
I thought the opening cut scene was excellent and really set up an air of mystery of the game. Atmosphere is huge in a point and click text adventure and you nailed it. Little details like the rapid keyboard typing sound, or the "eye of the storm" shadow effect really add to this effort. The graphics were not vibing with me while playing and after reading that they are stock images or AI generated it makes a lot of sense. I think your own take on the art would have added more soul to the environment even if it wasn't perfect. But overall I think you did a great job building tension in your world and it is a cool one to read through. Nice work!
Wow, as many already say, the atmosphere of the game is very well achieved, the ambient sound effects give that tense touch that puts you inside the game, and also the game proves that you don't need good graphics or complex mechanics to be a good game, just with a good narrative you get it, congratulations!
The vibe in this game is amazing. Asking player to input phone numbers is interesting chocie
Some quality stuff as I see. Very atmospheric vibes! Graphics are cool, writing is great. Very polished.
From feedback perspective:
- don't like when you can't skip text appear animation, I read faster than it's appering so it gets annoying
- type numbers using mouse to do some basic stuff like asking backgrounds can be tedious and not fun. Allow typing using keyboard could help but I just don't get why to have those mechanics in the first place. Like, contact list would work almost the same. Or if you called someone, it should be saved somewhere no allow not to type this number again.
- also, I would not allow to make a virdict without being sure what player got all the clues he needs to get the right answer. If speak about "optimize the fun" player can just start new game and try to DDOS the right anwser by doing verdicts again and again. I know what it's against the fun, but you know... Players sometime optimize the playthrought in non-fun ways.
Great entry! Enjoyed the game. Didn't figure out who was "Storm" on my first try :)
HOLY CRAP THE AMBIENCE FROM YOUR GAME IS AMAZING!! The text felt a little slow and wished it could be sped up sometimes, but wow I loved the feeling when you slowed it down and emphasized certain words! I actually didn't get the storm on the first try, it was hard to me figuring out who to believe as everyone suggested a different person and I went with the environmentalist as it made the most sense in my head. I loved the graphics and the vibe of the game as a whole though. Just one thing that was a bit tedious was having to type the numbers to call each time. I was thinking maybe we would have to call a secret number since we had a phone to manually dial and everything, but I didn't find any. Maybe it could be better to put a list of the officers to call? Anyways, still loved the game so much! And I thought it was actually a cool interpretation on the "storm" theme, just not sure what the calm was as there were two murders right before we got there. But your writing was beautiful and this was awesome! Great work!!!
really cool setup and ambience for sure, and I love love deception and puzzles. My critique is that the theme feels a bit like an afterthought rather than main feature of the game, besides naming the killer the storm. :D gj tho it's clean and polished and clever
