How does your game fit the theme?
In the lands far beyond, away from prying eyes, the idyllic valley of Idelin lies. Nested between the mountain peaks, Idlin Valley is home to secluded human settlement. While everything seems serene, threat looms on the horizon. Nature is cruel and unforgiving, her temper is fickle, and her wrath is endless. Her fury comes in the form of a mighty thunderstorm, that player has to brave...or try to outlast as long as he or she can.

Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
Code yes, assets mostly done by us, some are from Unity Asset store.

Interesting idea. I like that it was quite fast-paced somehow. I would have appreciated to see something based on the different buildings, I could not really tell any difference or what was happening, I had like 10 castles and 10 church at some point and no houses, so was not sure what was doing what for that part, but if you keep working on it, might be even better :)

Cool game that metaphorically tells us the ugly state of the current global housing crisis.

Developer

Hahaha, thats definitely a way to look at it! :

Good game!! The models and effects are really good. Though the music could have been a bit more rock type I think, since it's like an urgent situation when a storm comes. Like Toto1205 said in game tutorial will do you so good and also some effects for each building and health for each building would take the game a long way..

Kudos!! You have a solid foundation for a great game.. :D

Thank you for the kind comments! We are considering continuing development for sure!

Neat idea and very cute graphics. The atmosphere is nice as well. I think an in-game tutorial or a more concrete goal would help in keeping the engagement. Good work!

Developer

Thank you for the feedback, yea we didn't have a time to implement in game tutorial so needed to put it in description haha

Really liked the idea! I wish it was a bit shorter or faster, it kinda gets slow after everything its complete

An interesting atmosphere.

good visuals/music. placement of the buildings worked well/was intuitive. the game mechanics were a little hard to understand though.

these were some ideas i had:

- building logic was unintuitive/hard to remember - i found it difficult to try to place the buildings strategically since the synergies didnt really make sense to me. for example, why did the churches protect houses? and which houses did they protect, adjacent houses, or all houses? little things like that.

- building indications were weak - really hard to tell the which model represented which building type and the icons were pretty confusing too.

- time constraint - not enough time to place houses strategically especially given that it was difficult to tell which were which

-random generation - felt like it was difficult to strategize when you could only build certain buildings on certain turns

other than those things the game worked well for me. thanks for entering!

I didn't understand how the game works. When the building is destroyed or catches fire and the effects of the buildings

I liked the music and sound effects

Thanks for the feedback. Yes the game objective is at 1st kinda confusing, there is short tutorial inside the main page of the game. So basically you can place as much as you want building before the storm begins. When the storm begins it randomly target fields. Once it targets the field you can't build on that field anymore. Basically you can't survive in the game and the main goal is to get the better score. For each survived storm phase you get 20 pts, and for each lost building during storm phase you lose -2 pts.

I like the intro scene and the music was nice. The game itself was a bit confusing to me. It would have been nice to have some kind of visual showing the effects of each building. Also, for me, the build menu overlapped the bottom row of the grid so I couldn’t place buildings there. Scoreboard is a nice touch.

Thanks for the feedback. Yes we wanted to add some indicator but we didn't have enough time to implement it in the end.  About the menu overlapped I'm not sure it probably doesn't scale well with different resolutions. Thanks for the feedback once more! :D

I love the cute graphics and the visuals of the storm. I wish there were some indicators on which buildings will be destroyed. Overall, great game for such a short time
