How does your game fit the theme?
Very poorly. I mean, you could say that there are bullet storms. And sometimes, before the bullet storms, things are calm.
Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
Yes, I did. Code, art, sfx, music.

Loved the one bit art and all the bullet particles lingering on the ground. The shooting and recoil gave it some good game feel but the debris bar was very slow to fill. Great work!

Yeah! Yeah! Yeah! That music kind of hit in a funny way. I'm pretty sure I like your version of the tune better than the original. Though the art is what really got me clicking here. Such a nice style with the yellow tone.I wasn't able to upgrade at all unfortunately. It felt like I wasn't collecting the red bits fast enough so I died a bunch. I probably need to get good.
Hey! Thanks for giving it a try. The music was a super late addition. I didn’t have time to do anything fancy and Yeah! immediately came to mind as a very simple song that is somehow quite catchy so I quickly laid a track in ZzFXM and the rest is history. 😁
As for the art, I wanted to use a 1-bit color palette with sepia tones. My idea was to try to set the whole thing in a steampunk world and I thought it would be a good fit. I ran out of time and couldn’t polish the sprites enough to really convey that. It was a fun challenge notheless.
You don’t need to get good… I need to balance the game. 🤣

Tried it run on Firefox but get this error: https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/HTTP/CORS/Errors/CORSDidNotSucceed?..., also tried it on Chrome and it didn't work either.
Also on Edge it doesn't work.

Tried it second time on Chrome and it magicaly worked. Game looks awesome and love recoil of the gun. I would maybe give enemies less health or make some effect when hitting them. First I didn't even knew if I hit them or not, because it took too long to kill them and no visualization of hits was shown.
Simple but nice game.

Hi Hee-Hoo, thanks for trying. If it’s not too much to ask, could you paste a screenshot of the Chrome DevTools console logs. This might help me understand why the game is not lauching for you.
Fun little shooter with art that is nice to look at. I liked that the shooting knocks you back it added some juice to it. For a game jam, I think the bar for resources could have filled up a little faster but my own game probably suffers from that too :D We had a very similar idea for the game mechanic haha.

I would have one very very small one suggestion : use the gun/vacuum swap on key down instead of on key release.
Style was cool and I liked the way you introduced the motor controls. Was bit lost at the vacumming, but I think I got it? Cool take on the concept!
Concept is cool, art style is amazing. The only thing which was quiet annoying was sound since the music sound was only played on my left headphone.
