How does your game fit the theme?
The game starts off pretty slowly and becomes hectic and this is my take on the storm aspect of the theme.

Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
The shader and code has been written by me along with the level design and building model.
The assets have been taken from Low Poly Office Pack available on unity asset store and sounds are taken from pixabay.com and zapsplat.com

Great idea - really captures that feeling of getting into the office and everything going wrong before you've even sat down. Also loved the alternative exit!

At first I thought I was going to be throwing chairs around, clearing obstacles to reach people. Definitely feels like this is a really solid groudwork that could be expanded in many different ways!

Developer

Definitely was planning to have a lot more quests in office instead of just going to pl and holding E. Had a lot of time constraint this due to a busy week.
Really glad you were able to enjoy. Was really concerned with the game being too boring.

Thanks for playing and sharing your feedback!!
Hope you have a great day ahead!!

I like the concept of the game, the props in the office could definitely play a bigger part in the game. I think it’ll add to the chaos and hectic feeling if the physics were turned up a little!

The graphics are nice and it has a fun aesthetic, it would have been great if there was some music too :)

Developer

Thanks for the feedback. Took me around 5 days to just figure out how to work with shaders so really appreciate you mentioning the aesthetic and graphics.

Was planning to add a lot more to the game with the props like delivering to different places and stuff.

Thank you for your time with my game. Hope you have a great day ahead!!

The office is really nice (and interactive too!) and I think it was underused. I really liked throwing stuff. So the window exit was a fun option. It's a satisfying throw.

I, 10000% agree with you. Couldn't make full use of the office, could have had various small quests making the office fun to move and making our own paths.

The window exit is my favorite!! Just a bit dejected that I was not able to add the shattering effect.

Thanks for playing and taking your time to give feedback. Hope you have a great day ahead!

I escaped the grind! (via the window!) - Let me know if you need music for your next project, as I think this game could have benefitted from some music tbh.

Developer

Thanks for playing and helping the protagonist escape the grind ;D

Will really look forward to working with you in the next jam is possible.. Thanks for letting me know!!

Hope you have a great day ahead!! :D

I escaped the grind! (Hopefully I'll never go in it real life)

This is a fun little game! It's simple and is cute looking. Feeling a little mischievous, I tried to break the windows and escape immediately, which didn't work obviously.
Maybe not related but, I really like the item shaders you've made! I recently followed a youtube tutorial to make my own outline shader, used it in my previous jam (this is my second one) but it's not as good looking as yours. Any tips?

Cheers!

Developer

The grind will be a part of life so hopefully you will get into one you like :D

Thanks for the feedback regarding the shaders. This was the first time I worked with shaders and was stuck with it for almost 5 days. Really happy to see you appreciating it.

As for any tips, I referred to this video How to Make a Toon Shader in 2 Minutes | Unity (youtube.com) which just gave basic idea of how shaders work and are meant to be programmed (Of course not just this one but 10-15 but this one was the most helpful for me). Just gotta see how Normals work and I think we can understand and try to make most of the shaders. If interested, we can connect in the weekend since I am also interested in outline shaders which I couldn't figure out (I wanted to use them on coworker models to make them easy to see.)

Thanks for playing and giving your time to share a feedback. Hope you have a great day ahead!!

Fun scenario for a fun, short game. I see potential replayability with trying to solve as many issues as possible before the difference in issues present-to-solved gets too high. I was able to open the exit after already failing and being told to break the window. Still great work overall.

Thanks for playing, didn't have much time to refine the game this time. Observed a lot of bugs after release, will be patched up soon. Was trying out shaders for the first time hoe you liked them..
And yeah, regarding the failing and still being able to pass the level. I wanted to create a scenario where you will be ovewhelmed by your co-workers and you escape through the window by breaking the glass. Seemed like a lot of fun. But couldn't implement due to time. The breaking glass concept was too cool to leave out so had to put it in the game

Have a good day!! :D

Really enjoyed it, Disappointed that you can't throw the chairs at the co-workers though. Let it be an idea for a future game. Other than that pretty good game

Developer

Hahaa!! Next time definitely will make them ragdoll I think that will be too much fun without the gameplay itself... Thanks for playing and gonna remember this idea for future.

Have a good day!!
