How does your game fit the theme?
Saving your lost Pheonix Chick before the raging storm snuffs them out. You play as a traveler racing across the land to try and reach your companion before the rain reaches them.

Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
I wrote the code myself, with use of tutorials and such. The SFX and background music are royalty-free assets from https://pixabay.com and the stunning block textures are made by Octoshrimpy.

The atmosphere is nice and the controls are tight. The game would benefit of having coyote jump and longer jumps I think. And more generous checkpoints maybe. Congrats!

Very nice. The constant wind brought some real challenge :)

Thanks dude, really appreciate you playing and rating my game. Just need to get past those 20 ratings (fingers crossed)

Nice game, looks super nice too, very ambiant, I like it. The movement of the player is smooth. I couldn’t finish the game because the camera wasn’t stuck at a certain height and I had no idea where to go. The moving platforms feel a bit cluncky to be on, especially with the wind, making them slightly wider to stand on would be nice and also smoother movement of the platforms. Having more interactivity would have made this platformer even more interesting, like having the chained platforms go down when the player stand on it. Finally, the graphics of this game would have been pushed even more if there was some animations for the fire, water, etc.

Overall it was a fun Celeste like game

Thanks soo much, also just wanted to know what level was the camera stuck?

3 or 4 one? The one with red trees that’s right after the level with the moving platforms, idk if it was a browser issue but I couldnt see the ground and at some point just ran out of platforms to go (where the camera stops moving)

Developer

Oh, the next level is in between the two tree thickets, you just have to fall in between them.

The sound design and atmosphere is really nice! I couldn't make it past the double jump part, but the parts I could get through were fun.

Great going. Got me playing very quickly with the on screen guide.
Nice unique mechanic with the wind blowing you back, adding to extra complexity.

Very quick die and respawn set up, which helped a lot with continuing through the levels.
I even figured out your cunning drop then jump trick to get past one of the barriers,

But the slidey platforms was where my skills at these games met their end :P. Managed the first 2, but the next one was to much for me :D

Thanks for making this game! It was enjoyable to play! Well done

Nice game! It features pleasant calm music and sound effects. It's quite challenging but forgiving with checkpoints. However, I couldn't get past the double jump level—I tried about 50 times and only made it past the first double jump spot once. Overall, great job on your first game jam!
