I loved the music and the art and the idea! Sadly I drove around for 2 full count downs of the timer in the bottom corner and never saw any enemies :( I made it to the edge of the map and drove into the abyss for a moment before realizing it lol. Good work on the vibe though, the music sync'd to the cannonball fire a few times and was very cool! Congrats and good luck!

I have fun, good aesthetic but lacks juice.
-Sound effect while shooting or shark dying would be great.
-The Shark gone when got hit feel empty. maybe add some animation or sound.
-Player allow to go far but shark spawn point is not following.

Still, great job!

Really nice graphics and particle effects. At first I had the same issue as others where no sharks spawned because I went too far from the starting point. But after I corrected that I had a great time. It was fun to try to hit the sharks by controlling my ship.

Fun game!! Really liked the audio, felt nostalgic for the flash games era. Would have liked some upgrades and tension for enemies. Like when i see a dark patch in water I wanted something to pop up and try to snatch the boat would have made more interesting gameplay loop.

Kudos for making a fun game!!

Nice game! The graphics were insane, and the song was pretty good too. The only thing it needs is a little quicker controls (because that is only control as you can't control shooting), SFX, and some enemy diversity.

It's a nice and simple game. I had fun and encountered no issues. Obviously would be cool to have more content added, but that's the nature of a game jam. Congrats on finishing!

Hee-ho. Cute game. Nice art

A simple vampire survival game with potential for sure!!

I love ships and I liked the style, I was thinking 'How they made that ship?' Really cute models is it voxel??

Nice simple game, with upgrades and more types of enemies this can be a cute good vampire survival game!

Developer(+1)

Thank you for trying out our game! Upgrades and more features will come after jam for sure. The ship and shark are 2D and we uses sprite stacking to make them look 3D

The water effect looks really good! Unfortunately, I have seemed to have found the edge of the world before any gameplay.

Developer(+1)

Im sorry to hear that. It seems that the sharks spawns only at the origin point so moving this far would do that. Will be fixed after this jam!

The first time I played through it I never saw a shark, that confused me... But then I tried again and yes, there they are! :D Not sure what happened there ;)

Developer

I’m sorry to hear that issue. You’re not the first one to who that happened. This will be fixed after the jam, thanks for trying out my game <3

Water effect is nice!

Really good game! The music reminded me of Pirates of the Caribbean and the art was also awesome!

Submitted(+1)

We had the exact same idea but yours is much more polished lol. The graphics are great but adding some way to upgrade your ship (like vampire survivors) would make it much more fun.

Developer

Totally agree with you! I ran out of time sadly. I spent a lot of time polishing the water shader and making the weather and it bit me back in the end. Thanks for trying out my game anyway

I really love the 2D/pixel look, even though it's clearly a 3D model since you can see different sides of it as you rotate the boat. I enjoyed it!

Developer

It’s actually all 2D! No 3d models were used in this jam

Submitted

Well I am baffled. It looks good!

Developer

Thank you, you might want to look into a technique named “sprite stacking”, this is what we used in this game to make the boat and sharks look 3D

Loved the look of the game. The water looked great, and I really liked all the little touches that helped it look so different between the calm and stormy moments.

Might have been cool to have some kind of interaction/gameplay element during the calm bits too!

Developer(+1)

Yes! This jam started we were two to work but sadly I ended alone most of the week. We intended on having woods and junk floating aboard during calm that you could use to upgrade your ship before the next storm.

Great visuals and art, although the gameplay doesn't really challenge the player

Nice boat! and I like how the ocean changes during the storm.

Developer

Thanks a lot for trying out my game 👏. I worked longer than I should have on the weather changes and water shader

Submitted(+1)

i loved the graphics and the music! but i dont think i ran into any sharks (?)

Developer

That could be that my shark sprite didnt look much of a shark 😅?

Submitted(+1)

The graphics are cool!

Loved the 3d/2d look you achieved. Great visuals on the water and wind. Gameplay was fairly repedetive but i cant be talking (play my game)

Developer

Thanks! Will be checking your game later. We used some sprite stacking to achieve this look, tho I don’t recommend making a bigger scale game using that technique since it’s very uneffective (but looks nice)
